Comment:
I've NEVER written one of these, good or bad, but Professor Lodici was so bad I think I have to. I was a political science MAJOR, and I switched I think due in part to how awful he was as a professor. Any dislike I had for the field of political science, he heightened. Talks for 75 minutes straight and has the driest lectures I have ever heard.

Prof. Lodici is a treasure for the Rome Center. He was inspirational during my Rome Start year there and truly helped me expand my knowledge of political science. I often enjoyed conversing with him before and after lectures and he was always there to talk. If you have any problems, simply "send up a flare" and he will be there to help you.

He is a brillant man! You will walk away from his class learning a lot. He expects you to work hard but he also knows that you are abroad. Go to class, read the text (readings are minimal but very helpful), and put a little work into his class and you will be satisfied in the end.

Lectures all over the place and hard to understand. Hard grader and lots of work. Loves his nickname, The Dark Avenger! If you want to work your booty off and still do poor, then take his class. If you want to try to understand the failed Italian political system, DO IT. Otherwise, don't suffer No doubt he is brilliant, but shouldn't teach.

This guy is good if you are a poli sci major but if not watch out. I did all the reading and only missed one class and he failed me on the midterm my first failed midterm or final ever in college and i'm a senior. He seems all right but i feel like either he would contradict himself or else his english is not clear enough and i just misunderstood

Seemed like a good teacher. Talked to him outside class, got A's on all the quizzes and aced the midterm. Then I get my final grade, he gives me a B. Refused to email me back with any consistency and eventually just ignored me all together. Not a bad guy until he screwed me over in the end. What's the deal Lodici, I thougth we were buds?

International Politics is not my forte but Dr. Lodici, on top of being incredibly intelligent, kind, funny, and well dressed, is possibly the easiest grader ever. I literally failed both exams and received a B for the course. I learned a lot though, and because he's not a prof by profession, he doesn't feel the need to be harsh, he's in it for fun.

I have to admit...he is very knowledgeable and very smart. Knows alot. Straightforward with quizes and midterm, with the exception of the final exam. I got an A. However, his lectures were all over the place. I had to look at resources outside this class in order to know what he was talking about. great taste when it comes to attire.Wow!

Easy class if you know anything about government. Couple quizzes a 10-12 page paper, midterm and final. He works at the Italian Senate and only teaches for fun, so he's generally not a ball buster. Pay attention and take some notes and an A is what you can expect.

well, i hated him initially, failed his midterm, which was the first time i failed anything. but his strange accent, fair skin, and red hair really grew on me. once i got more involved with class, my grades went up. definitely alot of work, but hes such a brilliant man it shows in his knowledge of just about everything.

Awesome professor! At first, the class might seeme overwhelming since he is such a brilliant person but you will learn so much! Tests and quizes are very straighforward and not tricky. He is very dedicated to his students and is willing to help out with any project you are working on. Plus, he works for the Italian Senate...how awesome.

Fantastic prof. If you're a major you MUST take him. Intelligent, insightful, accomidating. If you have difficulties, just e-mail him and he'll take time out of his busy schedule at the Senate to meet with you. You'll learn alot more than just ITAL politics. Political player in Italy's gov and a real expert on ITAL/US/GER/UK politics. RECOMMENDED.

Although i can not under estimate his intelligence and credibility i do have to argue that i found his lectures to be all over the place and unclear. He expects a lot from his students. 12 page paper and a 6 page paper due at the same time mid term and a final. I believ over half the class failed the midterm. Do not take merely as an elective
