I loved the "great hunger' class and now know a lot about the potato famine in Ireland and how to write a long research paper. I hope to visit Ireland because I'm part Irish. The paper was demanding because we had to do a lot of research and drafts. The teacher is Irish and knows about the topic and helped us write. I liked her humor,too.

Great professor with a lot of knowledge on the topic. If you aren't interested in the topic, you should not take the class. Work was easy-as long as you do the readings, which are really interesting if you enjoy the topic.

she had some useful information about how to write a good paper, but she has many different ways to write than MOST professors, and you have to do it her way, shes very rude and often unclear about certain stuff, bad prof overall, even though you will learn so much about the potato famine from start to finish

Prof Moynihan is one of the worst teachers I've ever had. You don't learn anything from her. You learn it all from the 1000's of pages of reading she assigns every class. She's surprisingly rude and condescending for a harmless-looking old granny like her. Awful taste in sweaters too.

Good teacher. Some horrible students... caught plagiarizing so complain here. Some are lazy, even illiterate... can't or won't do the reading. Teacher is fair and helpful, and class is interesting. I recommend her and the ITW "Great Hunger" class.

I liked this professor so much when I had her for ITW "The Great Hunger" that I signed up for her public speaking course, too. She is demanding which is why some students do not like her. I learned a lot about the Irish potato famine and how to prepare and present a speech. The professor knows her stuff and was always helpful and respectful. Great

Most people hate this professor but thats because they don't like the work. She gives A LOT of reading and a 20-25pg final paper. If you dont like to be challenged like most of these people than dont take her class. If you dont like to be challenged you shouldnt be here! NICE AND WONDERFUL WOMAN!

I hate this woman. She's too obsessed with the Diana Hacker book for one, and second she's so obsessed with the Irish Potato Famine that if you spinkle a little positive toward Great Britain in your paper, guess what!? SHE FAILS YOUR PAPER, AKA YOU FAIL THE CLASS! Avoid this teacher, she's not nice at all, and she laughs at you when you're wrong!

This woman is obnoxious and I want to punch her. She has no method to her grading and just throws out random letters as she pleases.
