Professor Jenkins cares about his students. He is also the chillest professor at Bergen. Hes got some funny catch phrases that will have you saying it too. Just go to class, prepare for pop quizzes, stay awake, look alive and youll do fine

Comment:

Great professor, I took him my first semester at Bergen and he was my favorite professor. He really cares that you understand and will explain anything you are unclear about. He gives out handouts to read to compensate for there being no textbook and there is always a quiz before class starts to help boost your grade. great professor.

Tough grader because you cannot get away with bs'ing an answer. Hands out a lot of articles to read and the note load is pretty heavy. Skipping class is not an option because there is a short quiz at the start of each class that helps with collecting points throughout the semester. On the bright side there is not textbook to purchase.

Ok so I have since graduated from BCC and I had Jenkins for a lot of my classes. I found him to be one of the most all around knowledgable professors I ever had. His experience and depth of knowledge in the field is unparalleled. He is an extremely easy professor if you actually pay attention. Problem is people don't ask him questions. Amazing Prof

Daily quizzes are basically bonus points - gives you a blank paper to answer a few questions, so take excellent notes and memorize terms. Test questions sometimes not covered in class, so point it out and he'll give you credit. AMAZING teacher overall. You will learn a ton. Seemed hard at first, but had an A before the last 2 tests were even given.

Hes a very friendly teacher but the way he teaches is fast paced. he basically writes in a chart form and we have to fill in the blanks. many students can keep up. but if you dont like gaps in your notebook and really want to understand. dont take this course

Great Professor. Has a ton of patience with his students. Very informative. I already knew how to swim, and he built off what I knew and made me better at it. At the same time, he was able to teach true beginners the art of swim and get them to my level by the end of the semester. True teacher in every sense of the word.

TAKE HIM! he is AWESOME! i had him for a summer class so attendance was mandatory but he allows a few absences. all we did was make workout routines using the machines, he's helpful and teaches new strategies. one midterm one final TAKE HOME. easy A! plus he's super nice and cool ;) HIGHLY RECOMMEND! one of my favess!

Prof jenkins is the MAN!! if u know what ur doing u can miss class for weeks he has no attendence policy he is awesome... the best teacher i had so far in bergen.. really layed back guy... knows his hsit.. grades u on only one thing .. tests and short quizes .. no class participation and all that nonsense... awesome

DO NOT take his swimming class unless you have previous experiance with all strokes. He does expect his students to have endurance enough to meet difficult standards. In addition, you can not miss more than 2 classes. As a previous competitive swimmer the class was a breeze but over 5 people dropped the class I was in.

i took his swimming class and he pushes you way too hard....makes you swim for like 20 minutes straight! some people just dont have the endurance so as a result i had to drop his class
