Comment:

Ericksen is a solid professor that I'd recommend to anyone. He's got a bit of a tough shell and doesn't seem very approachable, but he's very friendly (unless you skip class a bunch). Regardless, the course was easy and Ericksen was always available to help.

Comment:

I'm almost positive Craig is retiring after the 2019-2020 school year so if you are thinking about taking any class with him, DO IT. This class felt elementary at times but its basically a math class for people who don't like/need math. For those who struggled in the class he helps so much to make sure everyone understands. Clear grading.

Comment:

I am not a math person at all and needed this course for a math requirement, so I was dreading it. But Prof. Ericksen made this class enjoyable and somewhat easy- he really wants students to do well and goes out of his way to help. He also is pretty lenient and easy going.

I took MTH 105 with him as an online course, the textbook and online math lab explained everything and made the course very easy. If you struggle with algebra at all I would maybe take the class in person. Very friendly and helpful as an online professor though!

Hes a great professor, accessible and informative. The only thing is that he doesnt answer questions very quickly, he makes it hard to get your question answered because hell answer things you didnt ask and constantly talk over you.

Professor Ericksen may at first appear to be a really tough professor, because he has strict guidelines to follow for grading. He warms up to be a really nice, funny, and sweet professor! He cares about his students and is always willing to further help or explain a concept if no one understands. I would choose him for the rest of my math classes.

Craig is actually a pretty funny guy! His personality takes a little to warm up to but he is accessible outside of class and is always willing to help when needed. I recommend this class for someone who needs to get credit for a math course!

MTH113 is a good choice for non-majors, and if you can take it with Dr. Ericksen, you will get an A. Plus, if you get an A in the class, you don't have to take the final. Dr. Ericksen is a GREAT instructor and I learned a lot about practical math. Couldn't say enough good things about him or the class

Best math professor EVER! A little dry, but a great teacher. Waits to move on until everyone is on board. Super accessible outside of class and very willing to help. Also, you can waive the final exam with an A in the class which is awesome. As a non-math person, this is the one math class I've actually learned something useful in.

He's a nice professor, and the class is really easy, but his lectures are very very very boring. If you can handle sitting there for an hour and fifteen listening to him attentively, you can do anything.

Taking this class as someone who has taken higher level math classes, it was extremely simple. Did never personally talk to him, but seemed polite enough through announcements. Gives two attempts at exams and workload is completely manageable, even being able to complete whole course outside of exams during first week.

I am horrible at math, but somehow I did really well in this class. He's a little boring, but he lets you work with partners in class. He doesn't exactly tell you when you're having a quiz, but they're really easy. He's always in his office and he's always willing to help. Definitely take his class if you can.

Craig is an amazing professor. I did not understand math at all and have been avoiding it since my junior year of high school. He really wants you to learn the material and will make sure you understand. If you do not understand something he will break it down step by step. Just over all an amazing teacher and I would take him again without a doubt
