He is very helpful. Lectures can sometimes be hard to understand because he talks pretty fast and can talk in circles sometimes. The tests are all based on class notes, so you don't need to buy the book. He tells you exactly what is gonna be on the test so you know what to study. Overall, a very good teacher and very friendly!

I have had Dr. Turk for as many economics classes as I could. He is extremely helpful and understanding. In class, it is very important to take notes because the tests are based on class notes, not the text. He outlines the exams so you know exactly what to study, but expects a lot of detail. I highly recommend his courses.

Excellent teacher, brilliant guy, Harvard grad if you didn't bother to look that up. If you are an econ major and you want to go anywhere in life you will take a lot of classes with him and do well and make him your friend. If you're genuinely a good person he's more than happy to help.

Really nice, wonderful, knowledgeable guy. He is very fair and approachable. However, I couldn't stay awake in his class. He was good at outlining what was important it was just so unexciting. Wish he talked more in depth about current events in the context of his lessons.

Professor Turk is the best economics professor that we have at Fitchburg State. Scratch that; he's one of the best teachers we have at this entire school. He understands the deepest aspects of economics and has the ability to answer any questions you may have in the clearest manner possible. Not an easy tester at the intermediate macro/micro level.

Textbooks are not needed. All exam questions come from the notes. He is really smart, and will re-explain the different concepts if you don't understand. Good class.

Professor Turk is a brilliant professor with excellent teaching credentials. Do not buy the books. Going to class is optional as well, but I'd highly recommend doing so, as the tests are 100% on the class notes.

The guy is the man.. So easy.. You don't need to buy the books, all you have to do is go to class and take notes, he wont put any thing on the test unless he wrote it on the board. You have to be a moron not to pass his class.

A very nice, approachable professor. You don't need to buy the books. All you need to do is come to class and take notes. He gives a great study guide. You should get a good grade. Just..just try to get over the fact he wears the same outfit EVERYDAY, that his briefcase is a grocery bag and that he looks like a hippie.

Very eccentric! He wears the same outfit every day:dark jeans and a plaid suit coat. His lectures are pretty hard to follow, since he tends to be all over the place. He gives a good study guide for his tests though, and you don't need the books.

I had so much trouble in his class, he paces back and forth and you can't read his writing. I found his tests hard, and he explains things backwards. (not relavant to his teaching) he wears the same thing every day and his breifcase is a grocery bag. I think that was the most distracting thing.

Excellent teacher, his lectures are very hard to follow and tend to be scattered but he is extremely fair and will help with anything he is unclear about if you simply ask him afterward, his tests are easy if you simply read the chapters he assigns and come straight from the books

Go to class and take notes, he writes everything on the board, and his tests consist only of things he writes on the board. couldn't be any easier.
