What an amazing professor and man. Whipple's Public Speaking class is wonderful! He gets you over your fear and assigns reasonably graded speeches. Glad I got to take him, seeing that this is his last semester teaching!

Professor Whipple single-handedly changed my life. I loved his class and I'm honestly so happy I ended up getting him. Public Speaking terrified me and somehow he made it fun and enjoyable to point where I'm not scared to do it anymore. He is wildly entertaining & motivational. But if you don't try and don't show up to class, he won't let you slide

Professor is easily one of my favorite professors/teachers I've ever had. He is an extremely funny guy, he is very genuine, and very down to earth. Make sure your attendance is on point, and you will have no problem.

Professor Whipple has been my favorite professor thus far in my college career. He is an incredible human being, he has made an impact on my life and he would always make me smile whenever I walked into his class. Public speaking terrified me however he makes you feel comfortable enough to succeed with your speeches!

Professor Whipple believes the class Public Speaking is just solely based on what it states. You don't take tests or have quizzes. You grade is based on 3 speeches and they must meet the requirement of 10 minutes. It was nerve racking at first presenting to my class, he made my confidence level boost and my fear of speaking disappear. TAKE HIM

This professor is definitely a fair grader. I brought political issues into a few of my speeches, which I know for a fact he disagreed with, and it didn't impact my grade at all. As long as you appear comfortable in front of the class and show up you'll pass.

I thought I would absolutely dread this class, but it's actually the best class I've ever taken. He always talks about how much he enjoys our class and appreciates us. Definitely a master of constructive criticism. You can tell he really loves his job. Just make sure you show up to class. You will not pass if you don't make the effort to show up

Whipple is awesome! So many great stories! He is also an actor like myself. He pulls in peoples attention and gets drowned into emotions of the speeches. If you show up to class and are prepared, you will with out a doubt pass. My favorite professor yet by far!!!

BEST. TEACHER. EVER. If I could take him for every class, I would. He's nice, he's funny, he LOVES what he does, he's helpful, and he doesn't talk down to his students. He talks like you are friends, and as long as you try your best, he's your best friend. Will definitely miss him as my teacher!!!!

Public Speaking is a mandatory class; getting Prof. Whipple is a blessing. By paper, he is a Public Speaking teacher. In class, he teaches of life. He speaks of art, music, culture, and does so with a passion comparable to a play in the New York theatre. Go in with an open mind & heart, and you'll leave with a broader one.

I'd recommend this professor for anyone who has to take public speaking. He makes the class fun and interesting. He's experienced in the field and knows how to teach. Professor Whipple is one of the nicest, most compassionate professors, really cares about his students. Classes were fun and interesting, in a laid back atmosphere. 3 easy assignments he walks you through step by step. By the end of the class, no one was afraid to get up and make a speech. Easy A. Highly recommend taking his class.
