Comment:

Very nice and usually a lively discussion. Has many online quizzes which can be hard because they're timed. Very clear on exams on what you need to know. As long as you study pretty hard (I always used flashcards), you can get an A. And be sure you can write out your essays fairly quickly (although I'm a slow test-taker). Challenging but rewarding!

Comment:

Cynthia is a well educated professor. She's very clear on her study guides as to what she requires you know for exams. There are several participation exercises throughout the semester so don't miss class. She made Lifespan Psychology very fascinating. Pay attention, attend class & take good notes. You'll do fine :)

I learned so much in this class. She is wonderful and she makes learning fun. Instead of just taking notes each class, we had different activities to do which helped us retain the material better. She also asked for our input and let us have active discussions. She gives study guides before each midterm. I definitely recommend this class!

She's a great teacher! I enjoyed her class. She is a little hard tho & really expects you to know your stuff. You have to really study for midterms. She wants her students to be serious. During lecture, she does go a little fast, but does not mind repeating stuff. AWESOME class tho. You will learn a lot.

Very fun teacher! She uses both lecture and class discussion, and she has a great sense of humor. Make sure you show up for all the quizzes, but don't worry -- it's open book. She lets you know exactly what she needs on your exams, and teaches you a lot.

I really liked what we learned in the class, however I think this teacher can be incredibly rude, she definitely goes for favorites and likes to single out students. Once I went for help on an assignment and she completely wouldn't help at all, she was too busy (she was eating her lunch) and was completely rude. I do NOT recommend this teacher.

I love psychology but I wouldn't recommend this teacher. She can be very rude and likes to pick on people in class. I went to her office for help and she was completely rude.Do not take her class.

Her lectures were always interesting and the weekly quizzes were easy, but she grades tough on essays and other written assignments. She is very nice, except during football season (she really said that and it's kind of true).

I would strongly recommend her if you are interesting in psychology! she is not super easy, she will definitely make you work to get an A but that is fair. Prof. Ross demands a lot from her students in lecture and in the outside assignments. But I swear, she made me WANT to put in a lot of effort because she taught us so well. Class was usually hilarious, the assignments were fun and challenging, and she is a really supportive, caring teacher.

Ross is simply an amazing teacher. I took one psychology class with her and changed my major back in 2004 and graduated with a BA in psych because of her. She is very helpful and straight to the point. She gives you the info you need and nothing else!
