Comment:

Dr Lu is one of my favorite professors. Yes he is difficult to understand, but when you ask him questions he explains it well and it is much easier. Always write down the examples, he uses those exact questions on quizes/exams. He loves what he does and gets so excited about teaching which is partially why I enjoy him as my professor. take him!

Dr Lu is very helpful. The accent is tough at first but he is SO willing to help you understand if you see him for extra help. Tests and quizzes are easy if you go to class and WRITE DOWN HIS EXAMPLES! Most quiz/test ques are exactly from his note examples

Took chem as a req, and at the beggining had no idea what he was talking about. Read the text and follow his notes on powerpoint, because the majority of them end up on quizes and tests. He scales everything so iended up with a 4.0

He has a crazy thick accent which makes attending the lectures almost pointless. I guess you learn to get used to it, though. Passing his class isn't hard because he scales grades so much. I've failed most of the tests and quizes but after he scales them I end up with B's and C's. He's the only choice you really have at FSC so get used to him.

His accent is annoying and hard to understand and he adds words and numbers into his examples that shouldnt be there, confusing the entire class. hes a nice guy, and loves what he does. but he should learn to clarify himself, and realize that 50% of the people in the class will never use actually use anything theyve learned.

This is an extremely hard course! and unfortunetly it is not taught very well, nor is the text book at all helpful. However he is a nice guy, and does scale.. (alot), which is the only thing that saved me. GOOD LUCK!

Comment:

One of the toughest teachers i have ever had. His accent gets annoying quickly. The only way i will pass his class is the fact that he scales every test and quiz and even the final grade by a letter grade. But unfortuneatly, he is the only teacher teaching gen. chem. 1 and 2. Thanks alot FSC!

Comment:

One of the best teachers i have had yet at FSC. I would recommend taking him for any chemistry class. I hated chem prior to his class due to a failed attempt with another teacher, after this class chem is now not too bad of a subject. Dr. Lu is an awesome teacher and he will make sure you understand, succeed, and enjoy the class.

Dr. Lu is the nicest professor at FSC. He really cares about his students, and wants you to do well. I would reccomend taking him for Chemistry 1 and 2. Don't take anyone else for chemistry at FSC!

Very organized, always prepared for class, posts exam key while students are taking the exam so that scores are known instantly. Always avail to help. Read the book, do the homework, and you'll do well in the class. Somewhat automatic in his style, but occasionally lets his own enthusiasm for the subject show.

Dr. Lu has easy quizzes and tests. If u read his notes and then read the chapter in the book you will do fine. Examples from notes are on the quizzes and he scales all quizzes and tests. It takes a little while to understand what he is saying, but once you do the class is great. A tutor might be helpful cause the chapters do get difficult.

BEST TEACHER I'VE HAD SO FAR!! Dr. Lu is very clear and will help you any time you need it. Lots of notes, but they are VERY useful in studying. Pay attention to any extra examples he gives in class! Any exams or quizzes are very fair, he doesn't pull any tricks. Great teacher!!! I would take him again in a heartbeat!

A bit hard to understand but you get used to it. LOTS of notes. Tests are hard but he does scale, thats a big help. Nice guy but classes are a bit tough.
