I got a A in the class and loved the class. I know some people struggled with the class and assignments, but I am passionate about policy and put the work in. You use her textbook and do weekly policy memos. Throughout the semester you work on composing a 20 page paper, but since it's broken into sections it is not bad. I got a 98% on it. I love dr

Knowledgeable,laid back, interesting. Two exams are kind of difficult, the partner paper is awful, other grades are busy work. A lot of boring group work, hardly any lectures. A good class for somewhat easy A.

She is an amazing teacher. One of the best classes I have taken.She is so insightful, knowledgeable, and in love with her work I gained so much from taking this class and really learned a lot. Dana is very helpful. She knows so much about this topic and it shows. Videos and discussions keep the class lively. She is always willing to answer questions. Very funny. Take any class she teaches.

This class had good intentions, but failed miserably. TAs do all of the work and are really helpful if you get a good one, but Dr. Mitra is basically useless. It is rare for her to actually teach, and when she does, she just reads the power point. The exams are mostly bold faced words, and the class itself is just a whole bunch of busy work.

Horrible horrible class. Made me not ever want to teach. Mitra never lectures and when she does it is extremely pointless. The class should be extremely easy, yet the papers and tests can be completely ridiculous. The tests get reviewed over and over again. Never take this if you can help it.

she cares a lot about the class, and is very down to earth. all the notes are online, and if u review the powerpoint slides and use study guide the nite before the test, u should have no problem.

It was a great course learned all about the current policy happening going on in education reform today. Definately take any course she teaches!
