Comment:

She follows the text book and takes time to grade things. However, she gives tons of extra credit opportunities. Very easy going. She is pays extra attention to accents. Is a little hard on grammar. Gives extra points if your name has an accent in Spanish. I went to see her a few times and was always helpful.

Her lectures are disorganized, and believes in "holistic grading"- this means if you write a paper with accurate information but have spelling/grammar errors you will still get a low grade! Offers a lot of xtra credit, quizzes are easy, hard grader on tests, final was just an oral presentation. worth taking this class

She is kind of boring but she knows what she is talking about. She gives 3 tests and a bunch of little quizzes that are difficult. She is a fair grader. You have to be willing to participate in her class.

She expects students to understand everything. Even when she goes over from the night before, she does not go into depth like her papers/tests want you to. She is very critical in the classroom and in her office hours. She expects you to get it even if you are a non-native. My advice, look for someone else that teaches the class.

She does not teach. Expects you to read book & do exercises on -line and "get it" on your own. Nasty and rude if question asked...rips you a new one in front of whole class, like you were STUPID for asking. Accuses you of not having school your priority if you cannot rapid fire respond in Spanish. Class environment is hostile.

I honestly don't know what to think of her half the time. She gives a ridiculous amount of work and tests are NEVER multiple choice. If you are a native you will do much better than a non native. The class itself is a hard class.

Overall a great prof. She does give a lot of hw but if you keep up, you will definitely do well, because the tests are exactly the hw. She's very jolly most of the time. Just don't be late/abset, or you'll fall on her bad side. Overall, I love this class. :]

Lots of homework, sometimes tedious, often assigned (or clarified from the syllabus outline) late at night. Tests are fair, she tells you what's on them. Definitely volunteer answers/conversation in class! She's also helpful if you need to meet during office hours. A decent teacher, but she doesn't inspire a love for the language like others do

Feliciano is an awesome teacher. Be prepared to do a lot of work and learn a lot. The book was used most of the time. She is a tough cookie, but she is a sweet lady if you talk to her. She is kinda dealf in one ear so you have to speak loud in her class. If you participate she will love you. So speak up in her class. She is a great Spanish prof.

An ineffective teacher. She assigns homework at 11 oclock at night through email then lectures about doing homework during class. Complains correcting papers for hours (its her job come on)One of the worst teachers I've had at SUNY New Paltz. In her case tenure is a bad thing.
