Darcy is a great prof and makes learning coding, which is something really complicated, easy to learn for new and already experienced coders. If you're just learning to code make sure you go to class because It really helps, his lectures are very informative. Also he's just an all around great guy, very funny and caring.

Easy class, but worth going to the lectures for. The quizzes are meant to bring your mark down for those who don't show up... if you don't pass 2 of the quizzes (out of 4) you fail the class so its worth going to and listening... plus you can tell he really wants people to actually show up. Tries to make the boring stuff interesting.

Comment:

Very easy class. You don't even have to attend, as the lectures are posted online. Darcy tries his best to make a very uninteresting subject, interesting. Assignments are very easy, but the quizzes are literally designed to lower your mark. Take this class to learn a fair amount and get an easy A!

Comment:

One of the best profs at explaining foreign concepts to people who have never taken (or will) another COMP course ever. Also very funny during lectures. Assignments are easy if you have familiarity with the programs. Likely everyone will have to be good at new things due to this course. NO FINAL EXAM. Best elective course at Acadia University.

Great guy. Has surprise attendance quizzes, so you probably should go, even though people will tell you that it's not necessary. If you do miss a class, he posts his lectures online (voice recordings and everything). Very willing to help and extremely funny in class.

best and coolest prof ever. He does bring powerpoint based course materials but he makes very clear sense for everything on it. His lectures require constant attention so don't bring your laptop to his class. Learn from him. He is worth every single cent you paid.

Good guy with a sense of humour. A very down-to-earth guy. He does rely heavily on slides, but explains them well. Sometimes it is not always clear what he's looking for, and will give assignments of material not fully covered. However, he's a fair marker and his courses are straight-forward.
