Good guy, gets stuck with pretty boring classes. occasionally the lectures will be completely separate form the tests. For the most part so long as you scan the material before quizzes and do the assignments you'll be ok, but HE GRADES REALLY TOUGH on written assignments. Take the time to have a few people proofread anything before you turn it in.

Prof. Baird is a great guy. He has lots of great stories and cares about his students. However, I never learned anything in his classes. Every class I had with him, I passed with A+ and slept every day. Its pretty much all common sense and unchallenging.

Great guy who cares about his student, but his classes are pretty boring. Not always his fault. No one wants to sit through theories or advanced newswriting. He spends a lot of time talking about stuff he's interested in. Hard to stay awake.

Ok here it is: David Baird is a great guy. I identify with him well and understand where he is coming from. However, when it comes to class, it is boring because it is so basic and easy. I have yet to be challenged with anything remotely interesting. He is a cool guy, but as a professor, falls short to challenging students.

For Visual Comm, seems like we didn't even need the textbook - but quizzed us on it because we "spent money on it." He's a really good professor, quite critical in grading writing assignments for (Media and Society) Sometimes you might be puzzled by the way he grades assignments, but if you talk to him about it, he can be pretty lenient.

He is just not called to be a Professor. He seems like a good man, but his assignments are way to confusing and expects way to much. We aren't here to write huge confusing papers for just this man, but I sometimes think he wants everything from us.BORING!

I've met only a few prof. on campus who really seem to care about their students and he's one of them. I immediately knew that communication wasn't a good fit for a major for me,yet his class was still worth my time. His class is applicable and he's fair.
