All this class is is reading certain passages in the Bible and writing a summary and your opinion. Has two big assignments and grades stupid strict on them. Didnt learn anything and never payed any attention to what he said, neither did the class. He gave me a 0 for an assignment that I did and hes so boring.

Dr. Kirkpatrick is quiet, class attendance is not mandatory, this class has many small assignments that aren't worth many points, he provides a lot of detailed information and is better for students who already have thorough knowledge about the Bible, not a good introductory course for students with no previous knowledge about the Bible.

Too stringent on grading criteria. Class work isn't difficult, but his way of grading is difficult. The smallest deviation outside the many detailed rules he has for his outline assignments will get you a grade of zero.

In the end, this was a class that I'm glad that I eventually took. It was all online for the summer session. At first it's pretty unclear what he expects on his assignments, but make sure you always ask questions on every assignment or you'll most likely receive no credit. The outlines can be quite time-consuming, but its what you make out of it.

EASY class. Attendance is optional which is rare at AU. I showed up maybe 5 times the whole semester and still finished with an A+. Just follow the schedule and know when to be there. All of the assignments are submitted online.

He's very soft spoken, which makes you quite sleepy. His assignments were easy and you don't even have to do most of them Exams were cake-walk. He gave us everything we needed to know. Easy A

Dr. Kirkpatrick was very easy for the intro Bible class. He realizes that since it is a liberal arts class then people are not always going to be interested. He works to make the class discussion based and the whole idea is for the students to build off of each others thoughts so everyone can learn

I really appreciate Professor Kirkpatrick. Though at first I found him and his class to be dry and a waste of my time, I really began to learn a lot and enjoy the class. Kirkpatrick is really talented in facilitating discussion. I would recommend this class and this professor, just don't make judgments too quickly!

I didn't really like the class. He has an interesting attendance policy that makes no exception for emergencies and I thought the class was really boring. It was an 8:00 I desperately wanted to skip but couldn't if I wanted a good grade. Take the class from him if you want an A, but not if you want it to be interesting.

No doubt, hands down the BEST professor in the school! He has a discussion type of approach which he explains early in the course from from his e-reserve. Learned skills beyond confines of this course. best part is what I consider gained from the class was mostly MY own work; he and the class helped facilitate. Kirkpatrick = KING JAME VERSION !!

I expected to be challenged in my Bible class. I wasn't. We spent like a week going over the syllubus, took a quiz over our study guide every Friday, and didn't even write an exegesis paper. If you want an easy class, take him, but be prepared to never get a straight answer when you ask him a question.

I think he his a very good teacher and I thought the class would be hard. I am learning many things on it and we do not have any big test, which helps a lot with having to study for my other class. I feel I am learning just as much as the other bible classes are.

He knows a lot about what he's talking about, but can't teach at all!!!! Talks like a girl!
