Worst Professor I have encountered while at Chapman. He thinks he is hilarious with his small little comments and life stories. I did not learn a single thing from attending his class, but I did learn a lot from the book/packets he hands out. Not once in the actual class period does he teach you about Business Law. DO NOT TAKE

This professor is very unique and hilarious. There are only two exams and a final for your grade. Do not be fooled, this class is very difficult and the exams are basically all graded on writing. It is a law class with countless terms and requires a lot of studying and reading the book. The fun lectures are definitely worth it though.

Nothing but lecture but David makes it interesting with his jokes and made-up scenarios. Make sure to read the book and pay attention to get a good grade. Tests include a lot of writing and there's no homework except to read the book.

Loved this guy. He is super funny and if you meet with him outside of class he goes out of his way to really get to know you. Instead of memorizing terms he has you learn how to use them. The tests aren't that scary .

The entire grade is only comprised of 2 tests and a final, so if you're not a good testtaker, good luck. He is extremely funny, but makes REPEATED jokes about Fraternities and Sororities. It was funny at first, but now it gets a little annoying. His lectures are very informative and he knows what he's talking about but can get very hard to follow.

Berkovits is a very funny prof. Im taking his class once a week for 3 hours. He integrates comedy in all of his lectures so the longevity of the class goes quick. He has a group assignment where you pick an estate and try to convince him to invest in it and you add onto it each class, tests are easy and he doesnt grade harsh.

TAKE BERKOVITZ! There are minimal grades (2 midterms and a final), but the tests are not hard as long as you read the assigned chapters and listen in class. That being said, this was probably my favorite class I've taken at Chapman, Professor Berkovitz uses a lot of real world examples, keeps the class engaged, and is quite hilarious!

Only 2 midterms and a final. If you mess up one, be prepared to loose any chance of a good grade. Besides that it's like having stand-up comedy for 2 hours, this guys is fun to be around.

Very clear and interesting lectures! You really don't need to take notes in his class, just listen. BUS 215 is not a difficult class: 2 midterms and a final.

He's hysterical, and gives examples that make you really understand the subject matter. I would definitely take him again. He's the best professor to learn law from, despite the material being a little dry he manages to make it fun. I've yet to go to a class of his that I haven't cracked up in. He's also really caring and learns everyone's names.

If you're searching up Prof. Berkovitz on rate my professors because you're debating between him and another professor... TAKE BERKOVITZ. He is by far the funniest professor I've ever had. He recognizes hard work and actually cares about his students' success. I've had a close relationship with him and he has helped me so much with jobs, life, etc.

Super interesting guy. He is a lawyer which was nice since this is an introduction to business-law course. However, the textbook is very dry, and he really does test you from subjects in the book. He is funny, but it throws you off because he acts carefree and then you have to study super hard for this class.

ONE OF MY FAVORITE PROFS! he truly cares about his students and whether or not they understand the material. This was my favorite class to go to, his lectures are so funny and he really gets the class to participate. he puts his lecture outlines up on blackboard, and that's basically his test, however go to class because his examples are helpful

Great professor! Has a really dark and dry sense of humor that I loved. He really makes an effort to make legal concepts understandable to accounting students. He understands that accounting students are taking a lot of classes at once so he does not make the class crazy difficult but still rewards students who show up and study hard.

He's absolutely amazing!!! He's the reason I'm considering going to law school - his lectures are fun and interactive and he takes a seemingly dull subject and makes it very fun!! He makes his tests almost feel like "games" in a way - I recommend him to all my friends who haven't taken B-Law yet - great professor!!! TAKE HIM!!!

I love Berkovitz! Takes dull content and does his best to make it interesting. He'll jokingly picks on the same people in class. Group project had unclear instructions, but he ultimately is an understanding and fair grader so all that mattered was effort. Tests are very fair, especially when he gives the best study guides I've gotten at CU.

For a attorney, Berkovitz is a silly man. He has his favorites and may never call on you, but I cannot complain that he isn't fair or nice. He gives study packets which is far easier than reading the book, and puts more points on the essays. Honestly if you focus on the essay and do average of the mc, you can still pass....

Outstanding. Take this class if you hate law or love law. You will learn (if you go to class) and enjoy it. Berkovitz is a really great person and cares about his students. You don't get that all too often in college. In class lectures are more voluntarily interactive and entertaining/interesting. You will absolutely not regret taking his class.
