Somewhat lecture heavy, but he supplies all notes online for you to look back on. Also gives extra credit to make up for the more difficult exams. Exams are mostly essay. must read the textbook to do well on exams.

David Roon is a boss. I'm biased because he is also my advisor, but he is really knowledgeable about the material and engaging in lecture. He has done some really amazing work in his life and it shows. This guy is a badass. He will also make you work for it. Go to class and participate and do the readings and you can get an A.

I didn't know what to expect in either 106 or 156. He allows you to critique his lectures to help understand how you can improve on your own projects. He is very helpful when you need help and is pretty good at looking at (and also making you look at) issues two ways.

David is an awesome professor, it's always easier to understand from someone who is interactive with the class and that shows his passion for what he teaches. He is a silly pants too, he makes us laugh sometimes. I would highly recommend David to anyone who wants the 'real' dedicated professor.

Dave is a very intelligent man; unfortunately, he is well aware of that fact and seems disdainful of his students. The class was really interesting though, despite a debacle of a field trip.

Very knowledgeable, easy to talk to, and definitly looking out to make student's lives easier. He is also fun to be around and make the class atmospher rather pleasant.

David is very knowledgable, personable, has a great sense of humor, and his lectures are entertaining and well-put together. Sometimes, his lectures get a little opaque, but he'll always make time to explain things for you. Excellent guitar player.
