Hands down the greatest professor I have ever had. "His lectures have no structure," what??? He structures complete stories from the beginning of the time period to the end in order to create a clearer understanding as to how and why events unfolded the way they did. Study extremely hard for tests, and you will pass them fantastically.

Awful class. His lectures have no structure to them and he does not give you any resources outside of his lectures to learn from. It is very hard to follow what he is talking about during his lecture because he skips all over the place, it is also hard to stay awake! Be prepared for a boring class!

A great lecturer, good at engaging the class. Of course, these were all History majors, which helps. 2 1/2 hour class is too long, but he manages. Tests adequately assess and he doesn't overwork you. Not crazy amounts of readings, but lots and lots of information for tests. Great stuff!

Interesting lectures, with fun anecdotes make the class interesting. Do the reading, show up to class & take good notes. Essay exams & essay style quizzes are hard if you haven't done the work and readings. When in doubt, say more in the essay rather than less to ensure a good grade.
