Tait was very good and challenging teacher. At the time I was in his class, I felt more frustration than appreciation. Eventually, I learned he was well worth my money and loss of ego. Thank you warmly professor!!! I wish you the best!!!

By far the worst "teacher" I've ever had. He doesn't even teach his class, he just gets students to present on different topics so that he doesn't have to do anything. I've never heard a good thing about him,and I'm not surprised

He's a really nice guy and cares about your education. His lectures are confusing and thoughts are scattered. For labs, you arrive not knowing how to do anything. The following lectures explain how to do the labs (for the most part). Read the book along the way even though it may be intimidating at first glance.

Comment:
He is completely useless, class is confusing, assignments are useless. Assignments will be returned to you AFTER the midterm because "reference should not be made by your assignments". going to class is useless, reading your textbook is far more helpful. Overall, he is a useless, confusing, boring prof. DO NOT TAKE HIS COURSE.

Comment:
He cares about your success and has a good sense of humor. He is helpful in the lab but gives relatively confusing and messy lectures. He is not as brutal as everyone makes him out to be you just have to take control of your own learning, which is a trait we all need to develo regardless of our prof.

For the love of God, save yourself a lot of suffering and don't take any course he teaches. He can't teach to save his life. Go take Eugenia Yu's class instead. If by some misfortune you HAVE to take his class, just skip and go to Eugenia's lectures anyways. She writes the exams for his class, so you'll be better off.

Don't go to the class! Waste of your time.. It will be nice to have a frd who can do the iclicker questions tho. He emphasizes us to get the concept but he's rly bad at explaining the concept! Also the txtbook is useless it doesnt cover the detail. This prof doesn't even make the exams :-S So recommend taking Eugina's instead if she's teaching

It's all about the labs. Lectures are boring and dull. After the first week, half of the class stopped showing up. Studying tip: memorize the Vocabs that he gives out, it's about 1/3 of the exams. Also, understand how to do the labs.

Great help all the time, he walks around the forestry building labs all day helping people. His labs are hard and take many many hours to do. Lectures are pretty useless, we don't learn much at all, but the labs are sweet.

Tait is an enigma. One best viewed from a distance. You should have strong self-esteem before you try him on for size.
