She was rude and unhelpful. She expected you to read to articles given and then write about it. She never explains and gives very little help or examples. She expects you to know what is being asked without exposing. I will never take any of her classes again.

She constantly belittles students, has made offensive comments towards students of other races. Doesn't give good instruction as to what she wants from her students which causes confusion as can result in poor grades. Day 1 of class she told us that she hated teaching. As for inspirational? Well she inspired me to change majors after that class...

I am not going to lie or sugar coat it, she is tough and expects a lot from her students. She does give ample amounts of homework/reading, her tests/quizzes are no joke, but if you have done the reading it will be OK, but watch out for the obscure name/date thrown in, she is good at that. Also, know your APA format! She is also very helpful.

Im taking her online class right now and theres not 5 papers a week. She gives alot of work and shes really a pain about how she wants it presented especially when it comes to posts and apa format. shes hard as hell but fair and helpful.

This is the worst prof i have ever had...shes expects way to much out of students who are akready loaded up with work....i took her online class and you have to write 5 papers a week.....shes is extremly useless and not helpfull at all....i would not recommend this teacher to my worst enemy. also if u make a mistake be preped to take a bad grade!!!

Wonderful professor. Vey knowledgeable in her field. If you do the reading (she gives you a handout of the pages she will cover), the lecture makes perfect sense. She will not babysit you and expects students to work for thier grade. I love her and would take her again.

She was a horrible professor, do NOT take the Soc101 online class with her. She gives horrible comment and assigns approximately 5 papers a week. The discussion that you must post are like essays instead of discussions. She is the worst professor I've every has out of my 4 years of college. Avoid her at all costs!

If you like classes being cancelled, this professor is for you. Unfortunately she does not reschedule hours and you don't learn much during lecture, so read or fail. She likes to put down her students opinions, so if your opinion is different from hers, keep it to yourself. Definitely one of my least favorite professors at Clinton.

Denise is a very knowledgeable teacher. She used everything she has to reach me and my classmates. Some were just unreachable.She gave me alot- including a great deal of time outside of class and in e-mails. I know how to think differently because of this teacher.

I had Mrs. Coughlin a couple of semester's ago but I had to take someone else when I came back to Clinton. I think she will be back next year- I really think everyone should take her class- You won't be able to stop thinking about the world differently after her Sociology 101.

The easiest tests every written, but there were people in my classes failing, so I guess she made them that easy for a reason. She never tested on anything she hadn't talked about, even if we had to read about it in the text, which is really rare- after all, most teachers consider you responsible for both in class, and reading assignments.
