We had 4 major tests that he allowed re-tests and notecards for, lots of online hw assignments and a bunch of group projects he lets you correct. Extremely hard to fail.

This man will expect you to get what he is teaching, overall very nice but the lectures are hit or miss you either love him or hate him. teach methods are weird. take his class in the spring he brings in donuts on his birthday.

He was an excellent teacher and a nice man. The course material was difficult but he tried to help with a lot of reviews and group projects. He occasionally makes mistakes because the material is difficult. He has a lot of applied calculus projects. He forces you to Be independent but will help you if you ask.

the only thing hard about this class is the mymathlab hwk. his class is very easy- mostly grades easy group projects that he will help you with during class. lets you use an index card for all exams which really helps. also lets you retake tests if you get a bad grade. overall great professor, highly recommend!

You don't need the textbook, just an access code for the homework. His lectures aren't very helpful because he doesn't go into detail as to how formulas work. EVERYTHING is group projects. He will not grade your projects until they are perfect but his feedback isn't always clear. He doesn't have good answers to questions either.

Dennis is very knowledgeable in what he is teaching but is hard to follow at times. At the beginning of the semester you are assigned a group and have many in class assignments to do. There are test reviews in class, he also allows an index card, and test retakes. We didn't use the book really at all except for the web assign to to online homework.

the class isn't hard, it's the mymathlab work that is hard. Great professor. Lets you have an index card for tests and allows make up tests. Also, lots of in-class group assignments which if you try, you'll get 100% (and that's 30% of your grade!!) if you look over his study guides before a test, youll be fine but very little homework online

Extremely knowledgable and passionate about math. Genuinely enjoys teaching. Lectures and handouts are very clear. Tests can be tough, but he is very generous with partial credit if you used the right technique but calculate something wrong. Emphasizes group work more than most math professors do. Will go out of his way to help students.

Lectures are boring/confusing, but he makes up for it by being extremely helpful out of class. He is the most lenient math test grader I've ever met, so take if you want a good grade in a math class. For Calc II, allows one retest per test w/ -5 points on the retake, making for a very easy class if you just do the work. He also curved the final.

Ebersole is the type of professor who gives you chance retest your test with -5 points. Honestly if you show up you will be fine. Sometimes he gets confused on problems and doesn't know how to do it. The tests are pretty straightforward. If you do the review you should be fine. Go to office hours if you need help.

This guy was somewhat confusing in class, but if you go to him during his office hours, he'll take time to help find a way to make you get what he's talking about. I'm horrible at math and got a C+ in his Elementary Algebra course, to me, that's a very good job considering I got an F the first time around with a different professor.

Really nice guy but I suggest you only take calculus with him if you are passionate about math. He gives review sheets that are similar to the test, but if you are like me, that won't help at all. It was almost impossible to pay attention all class because it was long and extremely boring. He lets you retake tests once giving -10 on the retake.

All you do is listen to lecture, and than have to do group packets with the people at your table. He laughs after everything he says, which gets to be annoying. More online homework, that he doesn't tell you about.

The usual calculus. If you try, youll be ok. If you skip class and dont do the homework, youll have a hard time. Ebersole is always available in his office to help. He basically re-taught me two whole chapters, allowing me to salvage the semester and get a C. He's a great guy, just hard to stay with in class. Just try a little, you'll be totally ok

Professor Ebersole is at some times an enigma, he does not teach his course how many others would teach it, he prizes ability to problem-solve over general knowledge of math. Overall, I would say he's certainly not the worst professor to end up with.

Comment:
About half your grade is based off group projects. Good luck when you get stuck with people who don't want to work. Since the majority of class time is spent doing these group projects, you don't really learn the material. So unless you go to the learning center, you're not going to do well on the tests.
