Professor Gentry is a great teacher! He is understanding and easy to learn from. There are open book quizzes every other class which are always easy A's. If you go to class, you'll pass.

Dennis Gentry is literally a joke of a professor and shouldn't be teaching the subject at all. He doesn't teach and when he does it is minuscule and effortless. His grading is god awful and I don't even think he looks at your answers on the exam. He just marks off points wherever he feels like even if the answer is right. Has no business teaching.

Great Professor, he teaches psychology to you by keeping your interest. The book is a must because some test will be open book. He will be understanding if you have to miss a few days, but don't take advantage of this because he also values your participation in class. If you keep up your A in class, he will allow you to be exempt from the final.

Comment:

Professor Gentry is an awesome teacher! He helped me in class and was very understanding of any student had a tight schedule and just wants you to be successful and turn in your work. He cares about his students and wants them to succeed. I took two psychology classes with him in one of my semesters and he teaches life lessons while teaching.

Great professor to take, would strongly recommend him. You need the book because quizzes are open book. Interesting and funny, if you have an A by the end of the semester there will be no final. DEFINETLY TAKE.

Sitting in his class is like a time warp. Hello 1970! He lecturers by reading from t/ book. I love Psychology but he made it boring. Not t/ prof for Psych or Social Wk majors! Hated his toy/game projects, they are mandatory, so u better be "crafty". He dismisses t/ research studies results if they disagree with his views, which is unethical imo.

He made class so fun! Also told us stuff (news) that related to children at the beginning of the class. He actually made sure the students learned and got the grade they expected. He never gave us too much work. I wish every professor was like him. The toy project was so fun and I wish I would have taken him for Adolescent dev, also!!!

WOW! What a great teacher! Loved him! He is for non-psych majors. He gave us take home tests most of the time and when he didn't he gave study guides that was the exact test! Attendance wasn't mandatory! Midterm and Exam were take home!! I love him, he's a cute older guy. I recommend taking his class any day!!!

Very funny in class!!! He was great! His class is for non-psych. majors, You don't learn as much but then again you don't need to. Easy mid-term & final (usually take home)If you do not get a A it's because you didn't do anything! Attendance is not mandatory. Cute older guy!!
