Comment:

Very "liberal" and doesn't appreciate opinions that are different from hers. Hard to approach. Quizzes start the minute class starts, so if you can't find parking a mile away from class, good luck. There are many good profs in the department, so avoid this one. Extremely tough grader on papers, fill in the outline. You can pass without the textbook

Comment:

If you want to ACTUALLY learn something, as well as be inspired with every lecture, I highly recommend Dr Blair. There is some work involved, but its noting overwhelming- and you actually learn! She is by far one of the best professors on campus; each class of hers really gives you perspective on the world and how to positively change it. Take her!

Comment:

Dr. Blair is awesome! Has a genuine passion for social movements, and the course is really fun. The texts are interesting and she uses films that show a lot of history. Definitely take the course. 2 tests, homework questions, and a final project. She is hilarious and wants to see students succeed, too.

Dr. Blair was a great teacher. Over the semester we learned nine criticisms, she spends three classes per criticism. The material is well covered. There are quizzes for each chapter, two papers (she's a tough grader, but allows one rewrite), and a final. I found the class enjoyable and entertaining. She's a very good lecturer.

This class is very lecture heavy and can sometimes be boring but lectures are routine for every unit. 2 6-9 page papers with a chance to revise 1. 10 pop quizzes. She can be a tough grader but gives good feedback on papers. 1 comprehensive final. Does make you work for your grade and attendance matters. She learns all her students names.

Dr. Blair is awesome. Come to class and take good notes, your quizzes will come from the lecture. Utilize her office hours if you have questions, especially about the paper(s). Let her know you are serious about the class. 9 quizzes, two papers, and a final. Show up to class!

Dr. Blair is super helpful if you just ask for the help. Pop quizzes are regular but as long as you read and/or go to class then they are easy. Two papers in the class but you can revise one at the end for a better grade. She is a tough grader but tells you what you did wrong and how to fix it.

There are no excuses in this class. If you got into a car accident, doesn't matter, she expects you to be in class, doctors note or not, it will count against you. I would recommend this class, if you know that you won't have any reason to unfortunately miss class. Otherwise, everything in this class room is standard.

Dr. Blair's routine seems to be the same in both classes I took. 10 in-class quizzes based off her PowerPoint lectures. 2 papers, and 3 exams. Grades pretty fairly.

The content is rather dry, but she is a good teacher. The exams are relatively easy if you take notes and study. Review notes regularly because there are 10 quizzes on the material throughout the semester. These are very easy if you review your notes.

very nice, lectures are long but covers the material and breaks it down...like Aristotle. Papers are on the harder side but definitely doable. most importantly she is fair. overall she was helpful and effective.

I took all the classes I could with her and everytime had an amazing experience and earned my A. Dr. Blair cares so much and is accomodating but is no push-over so don't attempt for a "pay your fee, get your B" class with her. You will earn the grade you deserve.

I lean toward more conservative views and I did not find that Dr.Blair had any beef about this. She was extremely organized. There were pop quizzes, but they were easy (as long as you skim read). You'll know what is to be expected right from the start.

Instructor is very knowledegable. But would be better suited in research or in the comm field. The lectures are long, tedious and the instructor does not get the class involved. Lectures and does not get enough student involvment. Gives too many notes, too quickly. It isn't as easy to comprehend while writing so fast.way too into her feminist propaganda. Don't bother taking her class if you are easily offended. There is a definite bent towards christian, mocking and bashing. But every else goes.

Dr. Blair expects a lot out of her students. The two paper we had to write she gave good detail in what she expected but when she graded she graded almost as if we were graduate students. She was nice just her teaching style and my way sof learning did not work. I would not take her.

Comment:

Dr. Blair is a hottie, although a feminist, so she shows very little skin. Easy class, papers with short notice assigned however, and pleanty of arguments about birth control, war, gay marriage, welfare, etc.etc.etc if you are uncomfortable with any of that do not take her class!!!
