I had Dr Bisk for abstract algebra and was a great instructor. The class was interesting and thought provoking; I didn't want it to end.

Truly amazing! I am in awe of his ability to convey his passion and knowledge on a daily basis. He makes me want to be a better person and I hope to live the rest of my life honoring him and making him proud. He's a gem more precious than gold.

He's very inconsiderate, especially if you have a disability. He usually get's annoyed if you fail 1 exam, he right away sent me to get a tutor, knowing my personal situation. IF you like math than obviously you'll do fine otherwise good luck. PS: try to get another professor.

Mr. Bisk is the worst teacher I've ever had. He is not helpful at all. He doesn't care for students nor gives them the time of day for help. He is so rude and he does not deserve to be a teacher here a WSU. He tells you that if you fail a quiz or a test you will fail for the semester which is not true. He doesn't believe in any of his students.

What can I say about dear Dr. Bisk, Other than take him at your own risk. He's a man's man, that's for sho', He don't mess around like Dr. To. He teaches his courses and makes them fair, And grooms above his lip a thatch of hair. His exams hurt, they leave mental welts, Meanwhile he's jammin' out in coats made of bear pelts. He's swell.

When we had class and he didn't tell us to teach ourselves to do calculus, I learned a lot. We had a lot of snow days when I took him and we missed about 4 classes and he made us still do the online homework, with just the instructions from the book. That was not how I learned and I failed miserably at those sections.

He's not a horrible professor, but certainly makes you work for it. His grading is tough and certainly hard to follow. But the class itself isn't too bad. If you have to take him, go for it. Just don't skip more than 3, he gives a quiz usually once a week on the same day of each week. Sometimes he gives extra credit and does a homework check once.

If you are looking for an easy grade, avoid him. If you don't do anything his way you do not receive credit. He does not go over homework and when you ask him it is as if you are bothering him.

Grading is posted on blackboard, but a lot of times unclear and doesnt seem to make sense. He just seems to be all over the place. If you take this course, be prepared to do more than 6 hours of homework for his class per week, because that is what he requires. Would not take his class again.

Professor Bisk fails to help any of his students understand the concepts he's teaching, and does not make himself available for extra help. The class is basically self-taught with no help from him, and he acts as if he's better than everyone in the class. Avoid him!

Professor Bisk showed no interest in helping out students with questions, or in the material itself. I would often ask for further explanation and no help was received. He was very arrogant and made condescending comments to the class often. Attendance is "mandatory" but you are expected to teach yourself 90% of the material. Fair grader.

Do not take Professor Bisk. I've had him for 3 classes, and he is by far the worst math professor at WSU. The class is basically self-taught and he is very full of himself. If you have to take him, good luck! I'd stay away!

He's a horrible teacher I would have gotten the same grade if I never came to the class. He expects you to teach yourself most of it and won't go over anything that you should have known from previous classes. He acts like he's better than everyone in the class and is very arrogant. I would never take him for another class again

I took him for an algebra class for teachers & there was no instruction on how to actually teach material. He doesn't explain material thoroughly, almost just expects you to know it. Short, condensed quizzes help maintain grade, but I was lost most of the time.

I like Dr. Bisk, he gives out his own textbook, which is nice, and he is very clear with expectations. The one complaint, quizzes only had a couple questions, so if you get one wrong you are SOL. I learned from him although much of this class was refresher for me. I would take him again, and I wish he was available for the math I need this fall!

Very simple guy with a simple class. I enjoyed the way he taught. I always knew everything that was supposed to be due and the tests were exactly what we went over. Sometimes even verbatim. I would highly recommend him as a teacher. Made me enjoy math and now I really want to pursue a career as a math teacher.
