Diane is indeed a descendant of Satan. The well-deserved reputation of A&P being among the most difficult to conquer at GHC is more than true. That being said, Diane is an exceptionally knowledgeable and approachable professor. A year after her classes and I'm sure she's glad to know I am still eating elephants...one bite at a time.

Comment:
Like A&P, a 5-cr class that should be 10. Spend as much time as you can in lab, as early (in the a.m., & in the quarter) as possible, take detailed, organized notes in lab-esp. re tests of unknowns (not just + or -), & you'll do well, w/extra study time for finals after finishing unknowns. (The half-grade "bump" for finishing labs helps a lot too.)

Comment:
If you survive 241, DC rewards you by notching up the difficulty even higher in 242, w/more tangled test q. phrasing, & switching between the text book & IP's. Study BOTH thoroughly, do as well as you can on the tests, & make up the difference w/ the clicker quizzes- they're far easier than the tests (& count on q's from labs on the tests, too).

Comment:
A&P's reputation as 2 of GHC's hardest classes is well-deserved, & DC's approach tends to make it even harder- especially her fixation on tangled phrasing of test q's & the rather erratic pacing of the class. However, DC's an extremely accessible & intelligent teacher, genuinely interested in the subject-& in whatever her students can add.

Really a fun class with excellent labs. Microbiology is about memorization, so be prepared to spend some time reading the text.

A&P lectures are boring and the labs are even more boring and tedious. That said, Professor Carter presents the information clearly and the pace should accommodate anyone.

She's Rude, but in a nice way? The Class was ok, alot of reading, and you are living in the lab by the end of the quarter (unknowns :P). But if you do the study guides you shouldn't have a problem.

Hard class. Have to learn on your own. She is a bit of a meanie. She talks to the class like children the first few days. Very rude. But I got a B- so I am ok with that.
