Diane Mathios is the best! Believe me! I consider myself very bad in math and i got an A with her! She did magic with me! Plus i was pregnant at the time i took her class! People who rate her poorly probably are extremely lazy. I am sure you will pass for sure. Plus she is always willing to help, you can go tutoring center for extra help.

I ABSOLUTELY HATED MATH UNTIL I TOOK MATHIOS! I was iffy about taking a two hour class everyday, but I'm really glad I did. There's hw everyday, but it's super easy because she teaches that well. I've been getting over 90/100 ish on my quiz&MT and this is going from someone who would always get 50s and 60s in other math classes! Take this class!!

Comment:

I appreciate Mrs. Mathios so much, I took her for MATH114 and MATH10. I was a student who struggled with math but she made it easier to understand. She truly cared about her students and met one on one with us, she even came to our tutor center to help us. We got to review our study exams. Go to class every day and do the homework! Best professor!

best professor ever. RESPECT HER! She's the sweetest lady i've ever met! She is the reason I graduated, and will forever be grateful! I was with her class for three quarters, long hard work but so worth it! Lots of homework but it really helps, she will be there for you if u need help!!

Comment:

Great teacher, super easy class. Clear lectures that were exactly based on the content on the homework, lectures, and quizzes. Homework was out of the book and was graded more harshly in the first few weeks. Only 1 group project, so it wasn't too bad.

Ms. Mathios is my favorite math teacher ever. She is super clear in her lectures. She lets you use cheat sheets for the exams. Easy quizzes based off the book. You know how everyone pretty much hates math? She'll make you enjoy it. I would take her again if I could, and totally planning on it if she teaches what I need to take in the future!

She's by far the best professor I have ever taken in my life. She makes Calculus so easy. Her exams and quizzes are fair. The questions are similar to textbook. She allows a 3*5 cheat sheet. She offers extra credits before every quiz and exam. Take her if you can. FYI, she doesn't take waitlisted people.

I absolutely love her! She is really passionate about math and is a very caring professor. She will help you if you ask and won't make you feel bad for not knowing something. Assigns and collects hw from the book. Quizzes and midterms are not tough, but you do need to study. Participation matters. I recommend taking her.

Hands down the best teacher I've ever had in my entire life. I hated math until I became her student. She is so patient and kind. She has a gift for breaking things down for the people who struggle with math. I now feel as confident in math as I do in every other subject. She gives a lot of work but you never feel overwhelmed. Nothing bad to say.

The group projects are fairly easy if you choose people who are going to do their part. The plus is you choose your teammates and you can always change groups. I went from a lazy group of people to a group of 2, who wanted an A and did their homework. Ask questions and you will do well on the tests. Learn to use your calculator!!

I love this professor but I am sad because I got B eventually. I had 87% in math 1A class before final exam, and got B. I am just not so smart to take it over. Diane is nice ,but calculus is hard

Diane is my FAVORITE instructor at De An za. Take her , and you will see how nice she is. I really enjoyed her math 1A last spring quarter,and I will miss her even though I got B from her. The best math professor ever.

Diane is the best Math teacher I ever took. She is very nice. Some people complain about group work, but I feel ok because my group had only 2 people ( u can pick anyone u want). Moreover, you can check your answer with her before the due.

Diane's class is very organized and interesting. Nice and kind instructor plus many extra credits. I guess she likes to courage her students and gives opportunity to raise your grade. I just do not like those group projects. Pick other instructors if you are not good at managing group work.
