Professor Wade was a complete gem to have as a microbiology teacher! I sincerely enjoyed her class and actually learned many things throughout the semester that are very practical. There is a lot of studying but it is a science course so what do you expect? The work you put in, reflects your grade. Highly recommend Randy Wade!!

An amazing Microbiology professor for sure! She does a wonderful job explaining material in a way that is both interesting, and easy to understand! However, to achieve a good grade studying is pretty important! The lectures are fun so be present and take notes! Lab is so much fun!

Wade is an amazing prof. She cares about her students. Her lectures are info heavy but she makes an effort to use relatable examples and skits to help students understand. She posts lectures and study guides online. I'm so glad I was able to take her.

Dr. Wade is awesome! Explains the material very well; fun and engaging. Exams are detail-oriented so make sure you really study. No book needed, just her lecture notes. Lab quizzes come from the manual. Uploads slides on Canvas in case you missed class. Lots of EC opportunities so don't sleep on those!

THIS CLASS IS VERY LECTURE HEAVY. For a beginning Microbiology class, the material is way too much to remember. I literally hated this class so much right after my second exam I stopped going to class and failed the third. I really tried to like this class and this class became a disappoint. It's her or nothing at LAHC so Good Luck if you have her.

I struggled in her class & went to her office hours cause I wasn't passing. You definitely need to book to go into more depth about the content of the material. Her notes aren't that great to me. She told me that "I'm putting too much pressure on myself to pass the class." She suggested that I take Bio 3&5 if i didn't pass micro this sem(spring).

Requires savvy study techniques. She posts study questions after each section. If you can answer the study questions without referring to your notes, you will pass the class with an A or B. She loves biology which makes her lectures endurable. She really funny and extremely engaging. Not hard, just heavy memorization. She is a profound educator!

Dr. Wade's lectures are very engaging. She's very thorough and makes great and funny analogies that allow you to fully understand the material. It's obvious she wants all of her students to succeed. Class consists of three tests and a final; lots of studying, but everything in the test is in the notes. Hands down the best professor at LAHC.

I took this medical term course online. It is great nd really easy. Professor communicates very well nd constantly emails us with reminders. The book is very expensive, but honestly you do not need the book (you will find all the answers on quizlet or google). My advice is buy the previous edition of the book. It is cheaper and exactly the same.

Just finished fall semester with Dr. Wade. She explains the material in a simple manner! No need to buy the book, just buy her notes. She is CUMULATIVE, so stay on top of the material. You have to two earn two grades Lab and Lecture, not combined. Gives extra credit. A lot of work for a 4 UNIT Micro class. Expect to study!

Very smart and knows how to teach. i would take lab with her as well. quizzes and test are straight from her notes. shes funny and keeps your attention. The tests and quizzes do have extra credit in them and she offers extra credit if you make 25 questins before an exam. if you want an an youll get an A easy. i got 100% in her lab easily.

Dr. Wade is my def my fave prof. in LAHC!!!!! Hands down the BEST!!! Such a kind-hearted soul towards her students! U do have to commit hours of studying but that goes w all science courses. Her teaching style makes the class very fun & engaging. Pls do yourself a favor and take her! Lab was also fun! I always looked forward coming to her class!

Dr. Wade is legit the shizzz. I always look forward to coming to class & lab. She always comes to class with a positive attitude and is ready to teach (also is VERY funny). Very patient with students and is always there to help. Exams are difficult but just study everything on the notes & come to class and you're set. She also offers extra credit.

Dr. Wade has become one of my all time favorite professors! Micro is a tough subject, lots to learn, but Dr. Wade gives amazing analogies. Buy the lecture notes and follow along, study and you will do well on tests. She uploads all her notes on Etudes just in case you missed anything. Her final is cumulative, so keep your notes.

Tough exam questions and way too much information for one micro 20 class. Do not take unless u are microbio major. Way overwhelming and uc's won't even count this instead of bio 101 for transfer. Overrated class

I love Dr. Wade, she's amazing. Everything that's on her lecture notes is on the exams. She's not one of those teachers who doesn't lecture something and then it ends up on the test. She engages the class with the lecture and makes you WANT TO LEARN MORE. Her lab class is so easy, easy A. Great teacher, and great person in general.

Micro is a tough subject but Dr. Wade is hilarious and lectures in a manner that truly engages you, making you WANT to learn. She is kindhearted and genuinely wants you to succeed in her class. I will miss learning from her!
