I did badly on a pop quiz that she had given, and she told me to leave class as I would not be getting any participation points for the day. I stayed, participated heavily, got no points. Stay away

I love Environmental Studies, but I absolutely hated this class. The way it's conducted makes for a boring learning environment. It seemed like the professor was subjective, picked favorites, and was not open to new ideas. A lot of the work assigned seems pointless and the majority of learning takes place outside the classroom in reading the book.

May be unclear in some part of the assignments, but if asked, she'll explain it again. A lot of workload, but you learn from it, hard paper grader, but if you try, she'll understand. As a student who took her for a year, get to know her well then judge, she is good at what she does, but sometimes do teach by her mood.

worst prof ever. she has multiple sclerosis so she hates the world. seriously, ask any student, staff or faculty member. she's a NUTRITION prof 'teaching' a SENIOR CAPSTONE course. she is in no way qualified to grade extensive writing. she shows youtube clips in class rather than teaching. she's mean and her grading depends on her mood.

She was always very nice, but she grades REALLY hard! I don't understand why she has such low ratings other than she expects A LOT out of papers. There's usually quite a bit of reading, but no tests. Class is mostly small group stuff and attendance is not mandatory. She's tough, but she's really nice and very helpful.

here i am, writing my research paper at 2AM and i am frustrated because i know DVJ will not be giving me an A. She is biased and her grading fluctuates with her mood. Terrible professor who is unclear and mean to her students, and then blames them. I would rather have stepped on a nail then taken her class again

HORRIBLE!!!! I was excited for this class- it seems like it could be really interesting, but Diane manages to make it the worst class on campus. If you have to take the course, study hard, do all the reading, and say something in every class- you have to speak up in order to get all the participation points.

AVOID her at ALL COSTS. She's a bitter, hateful woman. She seems nice at first, but she's an absolute NIGHTMARE. I hated how she'd ask really broad and general questions, but mark us down if we didn't give a SPECIFIC answer. NEVER TAKE HER CLASSES--EVER. She sucked the fun out of learning.

Study really hard for her tests. Follow all of her ridiculous rules. She is very confusing, very not interested if you are understanding the material, expects you know what is going on in her head... If you take really good notes and put in a lot of effort you'll get a B. She is horrible.
