I really like Professor Jedan as a person, but I thought his class was extremely tough. I did miserably in his class. However, if you show up and have a good attitude and show that you work hard he will at least give you a C for your efforts. I later took Spanish and found it much easier than German.

He is out of touch with modern Germany. Whenever he tells you something about Germany, treat it as if that was the way it was about 40 years ago. He will make you repeat mundane excersises about your great-great-great grandmother and numbers over 1000000 for the entire class. He is also always right (in his mind).

I was reading other user comments and someone said that he went above and beyond to help them out and changed assignments dates. He never once helped me out no matter how often I asked. Held my absenses against me even though they were excused. Didn't learn a thing in there. He wastes time repeating things that should only take a few minutes.

Disorganized. Obsessed with doing things that waste time and annoy me, such as counting in German for what seemed like half the class time and talking about your "Great great great great... grandmother." Often changes due dates. Unclear about assignment instructions. Little to no feedback on class grade.

Fantastic guy. Really loves German and it rubs off on his students. I went to Germany with him and had a blast. Very persuasive. I agree with the last...BE STRONG. It's hard to say no to him. Very helpful, but sometimes forgetful. Highly recommended

He is an excellent teacher. However, if you're not a German major he will try to convice you to be one, and if you are a German major and want to drop it, he will try to talk you out of it. Note: you can't approach him with a wimpy attitude- Be Strong!

It's probably just me, but his teaching is HORRIBLE! He isnt clear at all....I can never tell what he wants for homework or when it's due! He is very funny though. If you want a class where you can laugh and learn a bit of German, then take him...Just dont expect to get a lot out of that damn class.

omg this is the best prof i've had so far! he is soo funny, and he really helps his students to learn! and he's always making these really funny off-beat jokes. he's really awesome, and i highly recommend him!

I loved this guy! He was willing to make changes to suit my needs that were way abovethe call of duty. He is an amazing teacher thanks to him I actually remember the language and have actually used it in my current job.

Very dedicated, in fact so dedicated to so many things that he loses track of whats going on. KEEP ALL YOUR WORK THAT HE TURNED BACK TO YOU!!! He has trouble remembering to write down scores on homework and will need to see them again. The only serious obstacle to this class is his tests, which you must study for, but other than he is very fair.
