Comment:

Dr. Webb is very kind and enthusiastic about what she teaches. As a person shes wonderful, but I dont know if I recommend her as a professor. She is very disorganized, and often times isnt clear about due dates, assignment requirements, or grading.

Comment:

Dr. Webb is not a terrible professor. She encourages study groups and expects us to take good notes during the lecture and study well. At least in the class I had with her, we had reading guides that went with every chapter (12-14), quizzes (6-7), an essay-based midterm and final, a research paper with multiple steps, and a formal analysis.

Dr. Webb is super nice and really cares about her students, but the semester I had her was just horrible She changed the course calendar every day and was not very good at explaining what she wanted from us. No one liked her class and many people failed, but she really wasn't that hard if you do everything you should.

Dr. Webb is very knowledgeable about art history but does not relay the information to students very well. Shes a very unorganized professor who changes due dates all the time and is not clear on what she expects. She grades you as if you were an Art History major. Almost all the work is done online. Lectures are just her talking about pictures.

Comment:

We didn't use D2L. Instead, we used TopHat, which was terrible. There was always a glitch with the system and always a problem the grades. Very nice lady but the class was so boring. Stay on top of your work... it's pretty easy. Quizzes every Friday.

If she is using TopHat as her teaching platform, make sure to keep up with your grades and make sure it's correct. She has absolutely no idea how to use this platform and will continuously add assignments by "accident" and it will immediately fail you if you don't complete it. So if you see random 0s, don't be afraid to get it corrected.

She doesn't show up for class, but expects students to be there. She's not coming to the final. According to my English professor(who's a doctor in Eng), my papers are superb. Dixie disagrees. She grades on favoritism-those who suck up to her and greet her daily "earn" as, while those who correct her don't do as well. She doesn't know the material.

this woman is the holy grail of ineptitude. ask her a question that is not in her notes and it throws her off and she is lost. dont expect your tests back in ANY timely manner and good luck on getting any explanation on her warped grading policies. worst two classes of my college career, hands down!!!!!

i agree that it is an intense class. prepare to do a lot of note taking and memorization. dixie knows the material well and is open to any questions and always offers extra help.

You have to work your butt off in her classes, but it's well worth the time and effort. Dixie teaches an enormous amount of material in a short amount of time -- she's efficient and helpful, always smiling.
