Comment:

I took Dr. E for Data Mining, Big Data, and Predictive Analytics. Very intelligent and hilarious professor. There are weekly homework assignments, but they're literally step by step in the directions and as a former grader of his class, I can assure you that 99% of the class makes an A. The only reason you wouldn't is if you didn't do the homework.

Comment:

Dr. E is supper funny and his class is never dull. I took him for the 5 week summer course. He explains everything well and goes over problems from the homework and other assignments in class. If you show up and make effort you'll get an A. I really enjoyed his class & I'll take him again if needed.

Comment:

He's a very funny lecturer. He records himself performing the hw assignments, so if you're lost or confused while completing them you can just watch his videos to see what he did. Overall, I found the material boring (I'm not a DSCI major), but the professor was always funny enough to make class interesting.

One of my favorite professors. Very funny and explains the course content very well in his lectures. He explains each assignment during class and records his lectures so homework assignments are easy A's. Tests are easy if you attend class and make an effort to understand the lectures.

Dr. E clearly knows his stuff, but unfortunately he tells too many stories and rambles when he should be lecturing. This leads to the following the SAS Enterprise Miner tutorials rather than developing in depth knowledge of the subjects. I'm very interested in the subject but wish I had a greater understanding than a functional understanding.

Cool guy. Knows his stuff. Guinea pig 2610 he doesn't teach but did this time to make a point that books aren't needed, saved $215! Funny and wastes no one's time by allowing you to use all available resources, as you will in the real world. Take him. Do the work and you'll pass. I skipped too much would have an A otherwise. He cares about students

I dropped this class in the fall because it was too much for me and ended up taking it in the summer with Mr. Evangelopoulos. I loved it! He explains so much and all of the case assignments is literally step by step. All of his power points are very helpful and even explains how to do the Hawkes assignments step by step. Def recommend him!

Took in Summer1. Don't need book! 2 Exams(final is comprehensive). Exams are open book & open notes(no limit). Uses HLS! 4 Excel assignments that he goes over in class step by step. HLS HW were easy. He created a excel spreadsheet that you just plug in numbers to answer questions. Easy Class! TAKE HIM. Final Grade is based off of point totals.

Dr. E is a great professor. Flexible on due dates, if you're late by a half day he won't penalize. Doesn't use a book, just powerpoint slides and the online homework program. Print out the PowerPoints and ask questions in class. You get one full page(both sides) for notes on the exams, and 4pgs for the cumulative final. Easy going and wants to help

Dr. Nick is a great professor. He gets off topic most of the time, but he also explains the material very well. You do not need the Stats book. He teaches with Hawkes. Learn each module and utilize his excel files to do the formulas. In all, listen to his lectures and do the Hawkes modules and you will definitely make an A! Wonderful professor.

Dr. E is the BEST! He makes stats SO easy to understand. Exams are open book, open notes!!!! He gives you a lot of busy work, but he shows you how to do it in class before it's due, rather than giving long, boring lectures. Only negative is that he gets off topic at times. Shouldn't get anything less than a B in this class.

TAKE THIS PROFESSOR!!! I took this class previously and failed it because it was so difficult. However, Mr. Eva..made the class EXTREMELY easy to understand. He teaches you EXACTLY what you need to know for hw/quizzes/test. I HIGHLY recommend him for DSCI3710. I finished with an A. If you cant get that with him, you dont deserve to be in college.

Dr. Evangelopoulos is the man! Funny guy, and very talented at explaining things clearly and in a way that is so easy to understand. If 3710 is a req course and you hate stats, make an effort to take this guy, you will not regret it at all, I assure you.
