He is the most helpful and influential professor I've ever had. He cares so much about his students and their success in his class. As long as you make an effort you will do fine in his class.Class discussion are the basis of the class, which make the class enjoyable and less formal.I highly recommend this class..take it if you can!

He is the nicest and most easygoing professors I've ever had here at SCCC. He is so sweet and you can he wants each and every one of his students to do wonderful and learn a lot. You must do the journal entries or else you screwed though. As long as he sees you're trying you'll do fine!

Absolutely loved his class. There is a great deal of work given, but he is very clear and understanding. The work is not too difficult and was actually exciting He does his best to guide students in the right direction with assignments I would definitely recommend Professor Ryan, he is my favorite professor so far and truly cares about his students

Professor Ryan is kind, clear, and interesting. He's absolutely brilliant and very open-minded. I was willing to talk openly with him in a way that I am not usually willing to with my professors. He understood me and I am very grateful for that.

Don Ryan. All I can say is he is one of the most inspirational people I have ever met. He is kind-hearted and TRULY cares about his students, not just about their grades. If he wasn't retiring, I would take his class over and over again. I hope to keep in touch with this man for years to come. He will inspire every single one of this students.

I took Don Ryan's class ten years ago and I have to say it was one of the best classes I've ever took. He is one of the most sincere and genuinely kind hearted people I have met to date. I still speak of him often. How many people, let alone professors, can you say that about?

Loved him. Tough class but he did his best to make everything clear with the oh so plentiful hand outs. A lot of work but he will gladly help in anyway he can. Very sweet man, extremely helpful, and makes a pretty rough class as interesting as he can.

what a boring, religious man! he meanders off into his own world, adores hand outs, and makes the class read terrible amounts of philosophy. tries to get students to start discussions, but makes everything so unclear that no one knows where to start. Take anyone but him, but i think that he may be the only phil prof.

Don is a good guy who really cares about his students. His class requires a lot of writing and reading, but it's not so much that it takes away from the enjoyment (most of the time). He promptly returns your work, and always offers make-ups, so you can make sure you have an 'A.' Very kind man who's a little quirky, but definitely recommended!
