Ridiculous. Perhaps a good professor for upper division. A joke for intro. 18 chapters in a semester with no required programming prereq? Reibling does 9...hmm...He's not clear, confusing, and demands too much for a 200 level class. 4 people in my class dropped AFTER the add drop date..that should tell you something.

This guy is the only reason CS at APU is the least bit viable. You will have no doubts whether you want to be a CS major after taking one of his classes. They were the most challenging classes that I have ever taken--but also the most enriching. Look past the current pain, it is only temporary. You may not believe it, but you *can* in fact get an A in his classes. I got two A- and one B- and I consider myself a typical CS student.

He is a hard professor, no doubt about it. But probably one of the best teachers I've ever had. He truly challenged me to achieve what I never thought I could. It is definitely worthwhile to take his class even though the GPA might take a hit. lol

Cute, funny grandpa type character. Puns everywhere in his lectures. His programming assignments were hard to understand what he wanted. Holds high standards for the students. Quizzes every friday, which you can redo and he'll average the scores. Lab tests are open book and MT & final are difficult.

Poor communication skills. Jovial and tries to help, but not the most interesting lecturer. His programming assignments can be incredibly difficult to understand, and sometimes have errors in them. DO NOT wait to the last minute to write your assignment-- you may likely need to ask questions...

Amazing professor! Some say he's cryptic or too difficult, but I think he merely expects a lot (which is more than reasonable for a CS prof). Requires hard work but it pays off. And when he says that you can ask him for help, he means it!

Very steap learning curve to get used to his style. Once you are used to his style and learn how to ask questions and get the desired answer, he is the best teacher to take becuase you will learn. There is no way you will not learn, if you want to pass.

This guy needs to learn how to make a syllabus and just general course work. everything is extremely difficult and he does not know how to explain it. he is a very knowledgable guy but does not know how to reach students and interact with them.
