Unfortunately this teacher is not capable of teaching an online course, despite being a very nice guy. No interactive teaching of any kind, assignments were posted late, emails returned late, grading done haphazardly. Frustrating to say the least. He might be better in person/lecture style.

I rated him as hard solely on the fact that he is so bad about putting assignments online in time that it is hard to keep on top of the class. I took his class online, and he seems to be a nice guy, and he has very reasonable assignments, but he always puts each week's folder up late!

very nice guy, he canceled class a lot, was VERY easy, cares about his students. basically he gave everyone a 4.0. the final was multiple choice 20 questions. EASIEST class i've ever had.

I had Dr. Ballard for PHIL 3 years ago. He was actually my favorite professor while being at LCC. He cares so much about his students and that makes me proud. I am now a student at a university in Georgia. I plan to become a psychiatrist; Dr. Ballard's motivation has meant to much to me, and I will keep pushing forward to reach all of my goals.

Mr. Ed Ballard is the best teacher i've had so far! One of the reasons is because he does not make us memorize things, instead he makes us understand the subject. He knows the subject he's talking about and explains it well! Greaaat teacher! I recommend him to anyone!

Take this class if you want a teacher who will cancel often. I swear we missed like 10 classes, he lost our exams, and most of us ended up with 4.0's. He is nice but I think he gets sick a lot. But he always does the cancel thing cuz my friends had him different semesters and the same thing happened

I really like this guy, great ideas and is interesting, but don't take him online! He doesn't stay ontop of things, and sometimes disapeared for weeks, wouldn't return e-mails or phone calls. Although I got a 4.0 in his class I don't recommened him online
