whalley is amazing, she is so cute and nice to all her students and really knows a lot about linguistics. if you are going to be a teacher she gives a lot of "teaching tips" she is very passionate and understanding but her class is hard work but it is an interesting class. i highly recommend her

Dr. Whalley is a teacher with firmly established teaching principles which are the result of experience, reflection and a confident personality. Dr. Whalley's passion for theater makes her an engaging and effective teacher. She is amazing teacher. Even though I didn't like English Grammar, Dr. Whalley taught me how to not get stress about the grammar, so I could enjoy the class. She encouraged every students to study grammar. Easy going person. You should know there are always hw to do, but not that seious one (just Exercise questions in the book)And 3 essays to grade

This professor soured me on the idea of teaching forever. She criticized everything I said and everything I did. She gave contradictory assignments and then jumped down your throat for asking questions. She ruined my confidence and after leaving her class I felt like a failure.
