Not a good professor, she goes by too fast when explaining a problem to the extent whee a person can't keep up with the steps. She also doesn't explain clearly. I would not recommend this teacher, 75% of the people in my class are struggling.

EXTREMELY helpful and good at her job. She will happily answer any questions you may have for as long as it takes until you understand the concept. She does her best to make a hard subject as understandable as possible. Final was a killer.

Comment:

Prof. Madison is not hard, "algebra" is hard (for some). She's very thorough and gives reviews before tests. She's great at explaining procedures during her lectures, and even asks for questions the next class period to help those that may be struggling. Homework from book helps to learn the concepts, but not graded. I recommend her highly.

Comment:

If you're struggling, make sure to meet with her *before* the test instead of after -- she will help. Some of her teaching is hard to comprehend at times, especially if you aren't strong in math. Do your homework and labs on time and throughrouly study your materials, and you should be fine. Definately not a class for the lazy.

I had to really study ALOT every week and I almost got an A. Be ready to dedicate atleast 3 hours a week to homework if you aren't very strong in math. Also if you do the homework, you really don't need the MyMath Lab. I wouldn't buy cause it's $60 that you can save. Just do the homework and don't miss class!!

I am not great in Math and have struggled with this class. If you do the homework and read the chapters it comes to you with practice. I have done very well on her test. I am quite surprised at my grade so far. I don't think she is a bad teacher and tries to be helpful and also gives resources to help if struggling.

She's nice and willing to help if you ask for it. I don't think her tests were really that hard; I only did the required homework and I got an A. As long as you stay focused and take good notes she gives you everything you need to make a good grade. P.S. if you go to her website, she gives you lists of EVERYTHING you need to know for the class.

She gave me a B when I had an 89.3. I understood that I made a B but when I talked to her about why she could not round it up to an A, she said that she could not justify why she should. She said since I made "barely" a B on the final then that is what I deserve in the class. How rude!!!!

She is an awesome professor!! Every helpful and easy to comprehend, but definitely challenging. Professor Madison's exams are difficult but she will give you the right tools to excel, you have to be willing to put the time and work hard if you want to earn an A.
