By far the worst professor I've ever had. She's extremely biased toward her favorites, gives a ridiculous amount of homework and simply cannot teach. Effort/individual skill is never taken into account when it comes to grading. GET OUT.

She is very condescending and is an incredibly biased grader. She plays favourites and grades only depending on her personal aesthetic opinions. She will give ridiculously large amounts of homework and expect it to all be finished within a week. I learned almost nothing in this class and it was a massive waste of time. GET OUT.

She's condescending, a harsh grader and plays favorites tremendously. Gives way too much work each week and if you argue with the amount she just makes a face but still makes you do it within a week. Never there other than the day she's in class. Never responds to e-mails. Hates computers. GET OUT NOW!!!

Not the easiest professor I've had. Definitely has favorites. :( It can get discouraging when she does say anything good about your work. Only advice I can give is that make really good comments during critiques, make your work stand out and try not to be the worst student in the class. you'll have better chance of a better grade.

Never was treated in such a condescending spirit-crushing way. Shes doesnt even deserve to be a teacher doesnt know how to teach plus she doesnt have an office so forget it if you have a question or need help.

ellen is..odd. she obviously knows what shes talking about and is obsessed with it, but she doesn't really know how to get anyone else interested. it was fun exploring new mediums and i do look at color differently now, but she wasn't really a memorable teacher. she's scattered and unclear at times. I guess thats how it is with all LCD teachers tho

Hard class to get a solid A in b/c she seems to play favorites, she is absolutely obsessed with color and and light but doesn't focus much on design. If you like 2hr long critiques and painting your life away you'll love her. I have learned things from her, but honestly I haven't heard anyone rave about their LCD teacher yet...

Yeah, Kozak is difficult. Don't take her if you're looking for an easy A. Hands down, though, this is THE BEST teacher I've ever had. She is challenging, but if you care enough and work hard enough, you will create some amazing work. This is probably the only class I've taken where I felt I got my money's worth. It's not for slackers.

Drop this class as soon as you can! This **** is crazy. She thinks she is above god, she does not need to see a picture to know what̢۪s in it. She plays favorites, talks every day for hours on end, and treats her students like 5 year olds. The worst thing about her is that she is successful. Go to her web site and read her bio.

Every assignment is a huge challenge, but I still manage to get a decent grade. She gives tons of work at a time, and what's worse is that she's making us carry ALL our supplies to her class. This includes the heavy Color-Aid, bristol, sketchpabs, clear sleeves folder, etc. The lessons are according to how she's feeling that day.

Obviously the person who commented before me didn't learn anything from this class. Red and green ARE complementary colors. Complementary colors don't mean colors that look nice together, they mean colors that are opposites on the color wheel! It's your own fault if you couldn't even pay attention to such basic information.

she's nuts. and she can't talk. she assigned us a project to use complimentary colors and then complimented a student's "choice of reds and greens". And she deffinately plays favorites, so try and be one of them. when you get irritated enough with her look up her website. react however you see fit.
