Comment:

The required online book for the class is an expensive joke and doesn't have any useful information in it whatsoever unless you've never used a computer or the internet before. The class is extremely disorganized and the instructions for assignments are scattered throughout multiple places are poorly written, by far the worst class i've had.

Comment:

All you have to do is read, take the quizzes each week, and plan for time to do portfolios. This class was fun. I loved reading about technology integration within the classroom. Make sure you READ THE DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY for the portfolios, that is where you can lose points if you don't follow directions. Feel free to ask her questions.

I honestly have no clue why this professor has such a high rating. Her class is SO unorganized. I have been in contact with 3 other people who are in the same boat as me. We have NO idea what the heck is going on. It's so confusing. There is a lot of work and I am not getting any feedback whatsoever. I wish I took this class with someone else.

Elsie is the best professor at Wayne State. She is very understanding and listens to you. She gives great feedback and is always willing to help. I have such respect for a lady that carries herself with class and dignity. She was always available to just listen if you wanted to talk. I can honestly say that I made a friend in her.

Math is not my strong suit, but Elsie really helped me understand it better. I almost considered adding a math minor after taking her class. The assignments are easy enough if you do the reading, and she always takes time to explain. She will help you get the highest points possible on an assignment. LOVE HER.

SHE ENCOURAGES STUDENTS TO USE THE CHECKLISTS FOR EACH ASSIGNMENT TO ASSURE THEY UNDERSTAND WHAT IS EXPECTED OF THEM AND EVEN ALLOWED US TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT EACH ASSIGNMENT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE CLASS. She's a great person and teacher, but be ready to get confused.. She doesn't explain things as much as I would like a teacher to- expects you to read her mind. Goes too quickly through power points, but does a lot of hands on stuff throughout class. Easy A class with lots of extra credit.

Fair & laid back. Notetaking during class difficult since mostly doing hands on activities. Very available via email & phone (prompt reply). more helpful outside of class than during, but she does answer any questions @ start of class. I did like her class and I also liked using the manipulatives because they were fun. But I did not like her attitude as a teacher. Everyone seems to like her and recommended her to me for this class but she never explained how to do any assignments. I felt very confused and she never really answered questions about anything.

I think she's an awesome teacher. She actually teaches you how to teach unlike some of my previous methods teachers. We did a lot of hands-on activities and groupwork. The grading was definitely fair! She's great.
