One of my favorite professors so far at SPSCC. His class was fun and engaging, and I learned a lot. His lectures can be a bit long, but for a lot of the classes he would just talk about stuff related to the current topic. Like events in today's world that relate to history, his own life experiences, and so forth.

It took both Eric's Hist146 and 147, absolutely loved them both. His lectures are entertaining he is just an overall hilarious guy. The class is super easy with just one 10 question quiz due at the end of the week. Be sure to watch the videos and do the readings though, while it's a little tedious most of the films are real movies so it's fun!

Chase is easy. Basically, watch movies and write a reflection on them but I just find summaries online and use those to base my reflection off of. I love him, he is super funny and sweet.

Chase is great, lectures can get boring, he likes the lights off which doesn't help a 2-hour class. Online textbook, a lot of watching videos. He's funny.

I actually forgot about this class for the most part and had to go back to my old canvas and look through to remember. Point being, not very memorable. I took him during the 2016 election so the day after was pretty ugly and had a whole rant about the results, he leans pretty left if that means anything. there were like a couple quizzes and a final

Lectures every class, the whole time. Lots of reading each week and a film to watch. Not very many assignments only a few quizzes. Class is easy but boring. Final is online and timed.

I would highly recommend taking any course with Professor Chase. There was rarely any homework, throughout the course we had three papers due and a few fairly simple quizzes. Each week he assigns movies to watch and articles to read. Watch them and you'll easily pass the class.

Eric's History 147 class was very informative, and was a light homework load, which was really nice. It was a hybrid class, so we pretty much met one day a week, and you had a movie and some reading to do each week, which weren't bad at all. Great professor!

I took HIS148 as a hybrid class and I would definitely recommend it. Chase was very laid back, he was nice and really funny but not the kind of professor that cares to learn your name. The workload was very light and grading is mainly based on weekly quizzes that corresponded to the required reading/movie. Overall really interesting class.

Chase was a super cool professor and extremely laid back. Attendance is definitely not mandatory and I don't even think he required a textbook. His lectures were kind of boring but I think if you really care about history you could enjoy them a lot. This was an extremely easy class.

I have him for a hybrid class so there is a little bit of readinglike a chapter a weekand movies. He usually has a quiz and will give us a week to do them. He has a good sense of humor during lectures and is quite knowledgeable. I will definitely take his classes again.

I have never been a fan of history and this class didn't change that. However, Chase is an amazing teacher and makes things really relate able. Also, his class is extremely easy. I took 147 as a hybrid and am doing the same for 148 this quarter and his classes are easy A's.

Don't take this class if you want to learn anything. A college course is 10 weeks, why waste your time? Easy A but it was mostly watching documentaries. At least 5 times he assigned us to watch the daily show. Openly said once he doesn't like reading, yet he's a professor. he should probably do something else because he's not very smart.

Chase is awesome, I have taken at least 3-5 of his classes and have loved every one of them. He's a great teacher and the class is an easy A as long as you show up and do the minimal assignments given.
