Note: the class number has changed. It was physics for poets. This professor was one of the most inspirational people I ever met at LMU. He went out of his way to support my extracurricular interests. This dude is seriously stand-up. If you have the chance, drop what you're doing to take this guy's class. You'll get more out of it than you put in.

Whoever wrote negative comments about this teacher has serious and ridiculous problems. This class should be taken by anyone who likes to LIVE. this guy KNOWS HIS STUFF. he wasn't organized, i fell asleep a lot in class, and I didn't always look forward to going because concepts and stars and laws of physics aren't really my cup of tea, but we learned a lot of interesting things and did some awesome experiments. I only studied a little and I got an A...not too bad.

The people who gave this guy a frown are lazy ****s. This was by far the BEST CLASS I HAVE EVER TAKEN IN MY LIFE, taught by a real, live GENIUS (the guy's real job is building a super quantum parallel-universe computer). You have to work and understand tricky concepts, but the whole class is just AWESOME TRIPPY UNIVERSE STUFF!

He was the worst!!! I would never recommend him to anyone!!! Stay away! He does not care about students and only thinks about himself. He never returns emails or shows up for office hours EVER!!! Tests and quizzes are not graded in a timely manner, so you never know what your grade is. I repeat, DO NOT TAKE THIS MAN'S CLASS!!!!!!

He made the class very interesting and way easier than the other physics classes. Don't take him if you are premed, you won't learn any material for the mcat. I personally don't care for him. He doesn't respond to emails or have office hours. He even schedule a review session that he didn't show up to.

This class sucked and he had no structure at all. I had no idea what was going to happen in class because everything was unplanned. He gave us a "midterm" in late April because he kept postponing it and then a really hard final with random questions like "explain why we are star stuff". This is all my grade was based on. Do not take this class.

Incredible teacher. very interesting. Smartest guy i've ever met. He is very conceptual, rather than assigning lots of homework problems. He incorporates lots of cutting-edge modern physics into his lectures to keep things interesting. He will always take time to talk after class.

Contrary to everyone else, I feel very cheated and unhappy with this teacher. He can't keep any promise he makes, his class has no structure at all (we don't even have a syllabus), he is extremely random with announcing tests, and generally doesn't try to work with the student's schedule. Probably the best teacher i have ever had. This guy is awesome and is unbelievably smart. Barely any homework. He cares about whats really important, which is teaching students new things. Why can't all teachers be this tight.
