His leactures are okay but There is no conection between leactures, labs, webassign homework and tests. You need to study alone and do all the problems at the end of each chapter. Tests are not same as any problem you solve in lab, leacture, homework. It depend on deep understanding. People said he curves at the end but it did not happen.

He is a nice guy and knows what he is talking about, but lectures are extremely hard to follow. Labs are really pointless just group work on packets and you don't get them back until the day of the final so you don't even know if you were right.

He's alright. He does examples that are not in the textbook and its really confusing. He mostly goes over how to get to the equation instead of doing examples. The textbook comes in handy when doing homework. There are 3 tests, a final, labs, and hw. He does a big curve in the end. The hw problems that you do are on test! Study the hw and you pass.

This class was not easy. You need to know the basis to physics prior to taking this class. There are 3 tests, labs, homework, midterm, and final. The labs are not that bad. Homework can take a few hours, recommend do not start the day its due. If you ask question regarding the homework prior ro it being due he will do the problem for you.

Definitely would be taking Dr. Ma for physics 2. He's fair when it comes to grading and is willing to help you whenever you need. Great professor, I didn't use the book, but, if you use it even better.

Very confusing! He is a nice teacher, he loves to teach, but he is so confusing in showing you how to solve problems. Unless you teach yourself with the textbook, online videos or you already know this material, you will do bad. Tests, nothing to do with homework. Homework is online and easy, you get labs but they're counted as participation.

I love learning from Dr. Ma, but he tends to teach in a very convoluted manner. I have taken 4 courses with him. He is always eager to teach and is great if you have questions and can talk to him 1 on 1. However, he is not easy to follow in higher level courses and you will spend entire classes unsure of what he just taught. Rarely gives an A.

Def not an easy class by any means but not a hard one either. It was heavy with math and the exams were challenging, but with right amount of studying and practicing you can do decently. With a huge curve he gives at the end, it only helps you more. Ask him for help if you have questions, but solving problems was the best way of studying not.

worst. class. ever. As a math major i have taken many tough math classes with hard professor but this one is brutal. Majority of the class failed all 3 tests miserably, labs have nothing to do with lectures, lectures and super confusion, and not much you learn in lecture is on the tests. worst and most stressful class i have ever taken.

The class was hard, everyone failed all the tests!! He curves a lot and is always willing to stay after class to ask questions. Never gives the labs back but as long as you show up to lab and hand them in you'll get a good grade. He is always in a good mood and ready to teach.

Dr. Ma is an excellent professor. The only problem is that he does not really explain what he is looking for when it comes to projects and what is expected to be on the test. He's heavy on the mathematics, but overall a good professors. Exams are difficult but curves final grades.

OK, this professor is HARD. I got a C and I was surprised I even passed. Did not learn a thing. His accent isn't the worst, the problem is he doesn't know how to explain or teach. AVOID him. This totally brought my GPA down alot. :(

This guy was horrible. I am usually a straight A, occasional B student. I would kill for a C- in this class. (Idk what my grade is yet.) He does not speak very good english. I asked him multiple questions after class and he gave me blank stares like I had 5 heads. STAY AWAY. Honestly, it pays to wait a year to take this class with another professor

Class average is 50-60 that is including the curve no one got an A on the exams. dont have my grade yet but told me top 1/3 a-b middle c and bottom 1/3 d or f. Im probably getting a C. Also lab is easy. Hw ison webassign.

Nice guy, but a tough professor. Usually most of the class is lost during the lectures and his tests were the hardest I have ever taken. If you want to do well in this class, study A LOT and do the labs and WebAssign.

Homeworks can be tedious. Lab reports will boost your grade. His lectures are interesting, but the tests are hard. Lots 'o studying was put into this class - got an average of 70 from tests. The final though was easy, or so it seemed. I got a B in a class i've been avoiding for a long time. If you're willing to study hard - do take prof Ma.
