Comment:

He can get carried away on tangents, but it gives a laugh when all around you is calculus. DO the handouts and understand them. If you do those two things you'll pass every test with perfect scores. The exams were worth 88% of my grade.

Very well meaning, but does go on long tangents. Our class didn't even finish the book because we ran out of time, although he let us out early every night. Tests were fairly easy and he always responds promptly to emails and tries to help you as much as he can.

I liked him. He was really funny and is definitely dedicated to the topic. This guy eats, sleeps, and breathes calculus. Very interactive. He assigns A LOT of homework but he NEVER collects it. (It's not a secret, he tells you he won't collect it!) If you take him, MAKE SURE YOU DO YOUR HOMEWORK. I didn't and I didn't learn much. REALLY HARD TESTS!

I thought he was a nice enough guy but seemed to like the jerks in class. If you like to talk about drinking he is your teacher. Class was complete chaos, constant arguing between students and teacher. Goes over one type of math, gives test on something different. If you need to learn he is not a good teacher, stay away. He is just getting $$$

A misunderstood teacher that does his job well. At the beginning of the semester the class was horrible. Once you figure out his method to the maddness things get easy. Push him to help you understand. Brillant teacher and will put you on the spot to make sure you learn during lectures.

Overall I found the class to be very entertaining. Had many a laughs. I didn't really do very well. However that was my problem. If you put the time into the class you will do well. He gives supplementary work via email. Everyone gives him a bad rap but it seems to me these people are just used to getting subjects right away. Put in the work!

This professor just assigns work and gives exams. He has no interest in "teaching" the material. If you can teach yourself from the book than his class is an easy "A". If you have questions or need a professor that will actually "teach" you the material than don't take his class. He is very brillant at Math, but is clueless on how to teach it.

Constantly wastes time talking about personal stories, aliens, politics, and useless information. Doesn't help you out at all and his teaching style is atrocious. You won't learn anything from him, you'll end up learning on your own from the textbook at home. Asking a question gets you no where because he's all over the place.

Do yourself a favor....Don't waste your time!!! Very very unorganized and all over the place. Aparentely the school needs the money and can't find anymore teachers that actually give a S**T about their job. Pretty sad.SOME ADVICE--STAY AWAY, It's worth waiting another semester for a teacher that you can actually learn something from!!!!!

Francis Cabral would have to be the worse professor i ever had, he usually talks about his time in foxwoods which theres no need at all. I think he needs to stop teaching because hes a disgrace of BCC. Yes, i can see why people like his personality but his teaching skills are poor and math was one of my favorite subjects until he taught me

Math and me dont get along, and although I received a D because I didn't do my homework, Mr. Cabral made me smile and laugh. It was a joy going to his classes, to find a math teacher with a sense of humor.
