Professor Rang was one of the most, clarifying Spanish professors I've had. I took it in middle school and high school, but it wasn't until this class that I figured out how the Spanish language works. You must do the homework, or you wont be prepared, and attend class. His lectures help you learn way more than the book could ever teach you!

He is a awesome professor. I could not speak Spanish at all before I took this honors class. His class helps me a lot! Online homework is important and takes time. He has been teaching for over 30 years.

Great/Easy class. Have weekly quizzes/test, daily notebook & a final. Attendance is Mandatory! He calls on whoever at anytime so be alert. Approachable, funny, and available to help u. Loved this class and teacher! The book is a must! There are also online hw (always keep up with the online hw!)Long class but u learn a lot. I would take him again.

This is literally the best Spanish class you will take at ElCo. Professor Rang really helps you understand the material through interactive conversation. He also gives the history of the language which is awesome. There is an oral final as well as a written one at the end. I really learned an incomprehensible amount from this man , thanks prof!

Definitely a great teacher. Really knows his stuff. I speak spanish but I learned a lot in his class about here do accents go. He is funny and made his class very interesting. Always made fun of me because I would put an accent on "yo". Great professor ;)

You shouldn't take him unless you've taken Spanish before! He was such a sweet and friendly Spanish teacher but he teaches really fast! I felt kind of sorry for those people who was their first time taking Spanish :( But if you've already taken Spanish before, it'll be easier than high school :)He wrote my recommendation letters. Super good teacher. He has nice little history lessons on the side. He goes over most of the quiz/test questions before in class. If you participate, it shouldnt be a problem. He actually teaches you about holding conversations with spanish speakers instead of some unapplied class.

EXCELLENT!! Dr. Rang makes spanish simple and fun. I was scared to take spanish, but ended up loving this class and cried when it was over. Dr. Rang is an academic coach. He teaches more than just spanish; he explains test strategy, motivation, and how to study. He is funny too! Intimidating at first, but it gets MUCH better. Take Dr. Rang!!!

If you're a native speaker,be ready to teach the non-natives! Today was my last day in spanish 1 with "profe" Rang and i'm so happy because of that:-) He can get a little boring sometimes, but he's a good professor. Everybody participates in class; at the end, you end up with a lot of friends! Easy tests and quizes,and no homework, only studying:-)

He is a nice guy but he liked picking on me a lot. If you haven't taken Spanish before DON'T take him becuase he teaches like you've already taken Spanish before. For Honors you have a lot of quizes/tests (practically ever thursday) and he looks for mistakes on them. But over all a cool class.

I highly recommend taking any spanish class offered by prof Rang. His class is pretty much based on in class oral questions, which you learn a lot from!! Go in with a good attitude, participate and do the workbooks and you will do great! I got an A and a lot of new knowledge!

Took Rang for Span 1 during Spring 10. I highly recommend him, a funny(most of the time) teacher who clearly states expectations from students. The class was super easy as long as you pay attention and do homework assigned. Take this teacher for spanish!

took him for fall. Ok teacher. Tries to be funny which gets a little old. Has good lectures. There were 8 quizes and 6 test and 1 final. Homework was due on the day of the test. Pay attention and don't talk in class. If you pay attention in class and write down everything he tells you to write down you shouldn't have a problem getting at least a B.

He is super easy and his test are SOOOOO easy. Take him. He is clear on what he wants you to know and then that is all that you are tested in. His class is mostly oral, but don't be afraid, I hate speaking spanish but eveyone messes up and it really isn't a big deal, and he doesn't make fun of you or anything. He curses like a sailor though.

Great teacher who really cares about you learning the subject matter. He is a little tough on grading but you have to figure, if you miss an accent its a different word or meaning. Being the whitest guy ever I love being able to speak to native spanish speakers with confidence. This class broadened my horizons and my vocabulary. Great teacher!

Dr.Rang is magnificient! he taught me soo much love the class easy A. It was a 9:45 class but i looked 4ward 2 it evry time n was excited 2 learn. Easy test n quizes final was a piece of cake. He goes over the material sevral times and explains everything 2 ya clearly. His Awesome i definitely recommend him 2 any1!
