I had this professor as a high school orchestra and AP Theory teacher. He favored some students, and talked about others behind their backs. He could be volatile and nasty at any moment. Students frequently cried. He did nothing to nourish the talents of aspiring musicians, and instead undermined them with cruel and embarrassing tactics.

If you're looking for an easy class, don't take this one! I thought music appreciation would be like listening to music and be an easy distribution, but according to this professor, music appreciation is an extensive history of music. There are four or five hard written tests and two essays. He is extremely monotonous and boring.

nice guy, but super boring. he tells you whats on the tests, but that doesn't mean they are easy. also grades pretty hard for papers. he graded like an english professor instead of on the actual music content. for a non major class it's so boring and not easy. i wish i'd taken something else. this was my 2nd hardest class this semester

Very easy class, tells you exactly whats on the tests. As long as you pay attention half of the time and do the homework (once in a while, takes 10 minutes at most) you'll get an A. Pretty boring, but easy grade

hes awesome! he has such a kind heart, always there to help and understand your situation. class material is a little boring but he tries his best to keep his students interested. tells you what is going to be on the test, which aren't that hard, you just need to pay attention in class. 2 papers which were lengthy but ehh. over all hes great!!

The prof. can be kind of boring, and monotone. But overall is you take notes and study a little you'll get an A. He tells you basically the entire test but its all essay so make sure you attend classes to get his notes.He is also very understanding if you reschedule a test or miss class.

I think he does know what hes talking about. He's fair with grading and he can be boring but my whole class actually gets into it. He's a nice guy so if you need the help, he's willing to work with you. Do the work and you'll get an A.

Most boring class I have taken at Hofstra. He lectures on and on and I found it very difficult not to fall asleep, considering everyone around me was practically snoring. He also smells like a rotting carcass. Tests were hard but he gives extra credit.
