Blackburn is one of the best professors I've had a Mercer. I took 3D design as a gen-ed/free A while I was piled by other courses. The class was super easy and fun, I only had to show up once every 2 weeks to present my project and he was there to give advice along the way. Also he is just a super nice guy. Highly recommend!

Get to do a lot of fun assignments. If you are struggling, he will definitely help you. Likes to tell long stories sometimes, though. He does not seem to care if you come into class late or leave early, as long as you are finishing your assignments.

easy to learn material and pass. not good on emailing or returning calls. i advise takers to keep all work and know dates when attended in case of disputing grade. be sure to protect art work because my class stuff got stolen.

Great class but a lot of work. Sometimes brash, but once you get past that he's a great teacher. He'll help you out in any way that he can. If he's in his office, he's available. Watch out...he leaves at 3 p.m. everyday but is commonly there in the morning...GET UP EARLY!
