Gerry Ferguson is a wonderful professor who will teach you criminal law. If you do the readings and listen in class, you won't be bored or confused! Even further, he is approachable and will entertain all questions without bias or condescension.

Why, why, WHY can't ALL professors be more like this insightful, organized and approachable man?? Seriously, the world would be better off with more professors like Gerry Ferguson in it. Take anything he's teaching, and I do mean ANYTHING!

Ferguson is an amazing person to have a class from. I feel lucky to have learnt criminal law from him and would recommend that anyone else jump at the chance to take a class with him.

Comment:

Obviously has a lot of experience under his belt. It shows in his thorough and practised lectures. Teaching crim requires attention to gender, race, etc. issues (including classroom environment) and he does this, although there's room for criticsm. Tough marker. Class was a bit boring, but overall thumbs up.

Gerry is a very effective teacher. He knows the course material and conveys it in an understandable manner to the students. Gerry expects a lot from students in his exams. He is a tough marker. His class was very enjoyable.
