Comment:

Ms. Wilcox is by far the best professor I've had at DVC. The content is difficult so it's best to go to class but honestly with the way Ms. Wilcox teaches I'd be surprised if anyone failed the class. She always makes sure everyone understands the content and she does her best to curve and make sure everyone gets a good grade! Love her!!!

Professor Wilcox is the best Math professor at DVC. I have taken her for algebra and for a stats class. She is super funny, and her way of teaching is very effective. Definitely take her!

This is the worst class I have ever taken in my life, not because of the subject but because of the conflict and the messy structure of the class. I have never seen a teacher divide a class in the way Mrs. Wilcox did

Cheryl is the best teacher ever. She specializes in DSS and math anxiety. She made me a you tube video when I got stuck. I missed her this semester. Wish she was teaching second semester. Love you Cheryl : )

Disregard those thumbs down. Professor Wilcox is amazing. She loves VISUALLY explaining problems step by step for the class to understand. She also gives you worksheets & previous exams she's given out to study prior & she posts answers to everything on canvas. Yes the class is hard, hence "Critical Thinking". I finished w a 95%. Def take her!

I took her stats 142 class. She is very nice and caring. Some of her test were hard but if I studied a little more I could have done better. Before taking the final exam she puts it in the grade book as a 0 so you can decide if it is needed for you to take the final or not. I took a good amount of notes and she was always there to help me.

She's very sweet and ditzy. Her class seems very easy and fun but those test are hard as hell. Also show up to class and get points otherwise your grade will drop. Let's just say I didn't pass not one test with a C or higher and left her class with a C so I'm not mad at her. Good luck with the project because it wasn't easy and you have to present

I loved Prof Wilcox. I am not a math person and had to repeat Algebra 3 times but the third time when I took it I took it with this Prof Wilcox and it was a BREEZE. I was understanding the concepts. Her style of teaching is awesome. DEFINITELY TAKE HER

I your someone who likes a flipped class on Statistics then go for it. Many online videos on canvas and you need to spend time watching outside of class. Book is also extremely affordable and online quizzes arent hard. Tests are hard since it is Statistics but if you keep track of videos and homework you should have at least a C.

Prof. Wilcox is a funny/ditsy & chill woman. Super helpful & clear when you ask for help. 5 unit tests total, each unit is worth 17%. Project & Final is 15%. She gives you worksheets & practice tests. Answers are on Canvas. Short, easy quizzes after her lesson videos. Group tests(easy) in each unit. However, STATS is hard in general & test is hard.

Unconventional in her teaching methods, which took some time to get used to. Flipped format in Stats which entails watching videos for instruction/doing HW in class. Willing to lecture if class votes on it. She is HIGHLY accommodating and passionate about teaching. Definitely a class for SELF MOTIVATED students. Super entertaining/kind/engaging

Awesome Professor! Very attentive, helpful and respectful to the students. Never made me feel stupid for asking for help and responded to emails very quickly. Extremely fair. She made a difficult subject so much easier to understand

She's super goofy and fun, but she makes sure you really understand the material. I'd definitely recommend her class, especially if you don't like math very much -- she's really understanding and makes it as fun as she can.

Professor Wilcox is AMAZING! She knows how to explain everything in a very understandable way and is very patient and helpful if you need any extra help. Take her if you can!! As long as you understand and keep up with the material you'll pass the class. She's pretty funny and laid back too! I highly recommend taking her class.
