Comment:

He may not be the most stimulating lecturer, but if you take advantage of all the readings he gives you and really jump in you'll learn a lot. I had absolutely no experience with the subject beforehand, and at times I felt like I was at a serious disadvantage because of it. But then again, I didn't do all the readings. Work hard and you'll do well.

-lots to read for this course but it's what you make of itbased on your need so not all of it is necessary -Freeze works hard to help students do well. Extra help is there if you want or need it and he will make the effort to aid students with study sessions. -really interesting to chat with -TA (just 1) did gradingdiscussions but he was great

LOVE Professor Freeze!! So smart, and obviously cares a great deal about his classes. Sometimes he repeats things, but it only helps you take better notes!

I took his class on Russian history. I thought Freeze was an excellent professor who was extremely knowledgeable and engaging on the subject. His tests and essay subjects were very well thought out, and he graded them reasonably. I was surprised, however when my grade turned out to be lower than I expected; maybe he curved them down?

Comment:

Really loved his class. Very funny and entertaining. It probably wasn't necessary to go to every lecture, but it was one of the few classes I looked forward too every week. He really knows his stuff. Very modest, but has so much world experience.

If you just analyze Freeze based on his in-class lectures, you definitely won't be impressed. But he really shows how awesome he is when you talk to him outside the classroom or attend his office hours. I had never spoken to him in my life but he knew my name, year, and major. He's much more observant of his classes than you would think.

This class is so interesting. Professor Freeze is very smart and he knows what he is talking about but he is not always clear. He is always trying to be funny and you don't really have to go to all of the lectures in order to get a good grade.

Amazing! This guy knows EVERYTHING. Never thought I could learn so much from a leftie. Very demanding course, but worth it!
