Wanamaker is a very intelligent professor but lacks patience with students. Its clear he doesnt love what he is doing (even if he did at some point in the past). He disrespects students if they ask simple questions or dont perform well in his class.

Overall a quite rude professor. The level of attention each student gets is minimal, and he continues to blatantly disrespect the others that aren't his favorite. He may be smart, but knowledge gets you nowhere without kindness, honesty, and respect.

Dr. Wanamaker is one of the great minds of Crane. He's clear and articulate, but he won't pass you unless you have earned it. If you work hard and put in the time, he's always willing to work with you, but if you don't give the class everything you've got, you're in for a rough rode.

Amazing teacher! One of the only professors I've worked with at Crane who truly loves the material he is teaching. And he makes sure you understand the material before forcing you to move on. But he doesn't put up with poor work ethic, if you're not there to learn ... He'll fail you so fast you won't know what hit you.

Comment:

I currently have Theory/Aural Skills 1 and II with Wanamaker, and it's great so far. He's a great teacher, really knows what he's talking about. Tells some great jokes to that the class isn't boring. The only downside is that he hates repeating things. If you ask him to repeat something, he may get very angry at the class.

Comment:

Dr. Wanamaker knows what he's talking about and he presents a good class. Relatively speaking, he's an effective teacher. The only downside is that he breaks off on tangents occasionally that can derail a perfectly good (and amusing) lecture.

I had a horrible experience in aural skills III.I got Wanamaker for IV and all of a sudden I was passing with flying colors because he actually gave us techniques for taking dictation.No one had ever done that for me before.He also spent tons of time helping me when I needed it and was funny & nice!

bring diapers. you will ****yourself in his class. i took theory and aural skills 3-4 with him and loved every class. the work is hard at times, but he makes sure you know what is expected. college would not have been the same without him.

I really struggled with Aural skills mostly cause I had a crappy teacher for 1.... he made it all clear. I left tht room able to do what the rest of the students could and what I thought would be impossible. Awesome and inspiring teacher!
