Comment:

He is very hypocritical and rude to any idea that he does not possess. If he does not agree with you, he will mock you in front of the class until the semester ends. Makes too many comments about other's political views. Essays are based on movies that are not available on regular streaming websites or related to the chapters. no. Just no.

Comment:

In his honors phil & social justice class you mostly learn about the ethical systems which he then relates to pop culture. The class is interesting but nothing like what I thought it was going to be. He's a good man and is very entertaining. He doesn't grade harsh but with only 3 papers you can't slack off on any of them to get a good grade.

Hank is the worst political science professor I have ever taken. I make pretty good grades but he has never given me above a C on anything because I disagree with him on almost everything. If you do not worship Lincoln then do not take him. If you do not worship his ideals then stay away.

Dr Edmondson is an incredible teacher. Not only is he hilarious, he is beyond intelligent. The class isn't easy, but it's not supposed to be. He will help you out. A great man with a great mind. TAKE HIM

Comment:

No test. Two book reports and a major paper at the end. I love the material so I really enjoyed the class but I can tell others did not. He is not super wordy or over explanatory. Honestly the subject matter you go over in class has nothing to do with the papers you write. Just be sure to participate in conversation & enjoy a laid back class.

Comment:

Dr. Edmondson teaches higher level classes (4000+) which require that ideas not die of loneliness in students? brains. No notes, mostly discussions and analysis on assigned reading, and term projects. If you can handle thinking and reading, and put effort into it, you?ll do fine and will probably enjoy the class.

Comment:

One of the best professors at GCSU, definitely take him for political science classes! Especially upper level classes. He is a good person and genuinely cares about students and will try to help you as much as he can.

This class was pretty difficult. He never gives clear notes and the tests are all essays. He gives one in class essay and either 2 or 3 take home essays. He grades very difficultly. Your final grade also depends on how well you participated in class. It is not a horrible class, but I would not take him again.

His class was (to be frank) quite useless. His classes consist of him seemingly just speaking his mind about the current political sphere and trying to relate it to something scholarly. It's really useless. I only came because he takes attendance. Sometimes he wouldn't show up, still take attendance, and make us watch a stupid movie. (Sophmoric)

He is more interested in making sure that the students think he's "cool" than teaching the class. His tests were on material that was not presented, discussed, required or even mentioned in class, then he yells at the class for doing so poorly. He does not follow the syllabus AT ALL-tests are even on different days with little warning. Scary! RUN!!

He's fun and in a transition period. We were supposed to write weekly essays, instead we only wrote 4 essays. That was basially the entire class. Boring, but easy.

Don't think I really learned a lot in his class and his didn't show up half the time (although it was never really his fault). All of the assignments were out of class essays. In fact, there was very little reason to go to class apart from being counted for attendance. That said, he can be funny sometimes and the class wasn't too taxing.

He is cool. He makes things interesting and has a dry sense of humor which is hilarious. Sometimes he will take you downtown for class. All that was due was a summary each week of four chapters. He is very informative but has a low monotone voice. He really interacts with the students and basically just lets the class be a discussion class.

Dr Edmundson is a cool guy, but he didnt really teach ethics to well at all. I got a D+ on my test because like many in the class, I had no idea what was going on. Cool guy, not a good teacher. (in ethics anyway)

Dr. Edmundson is very approachable and very intelligent. His class was quite easy, although he didnt' make the test requirements very clear. Take him if you don't mind fumbling in the dark a bit.
