Beate is the hardest theater professor at GCSU. She gives a ridiculous amount of homework and is very upset with you if you don't have it on the date it's due, regardless of excuse. She never excuses class absences no matter the cost. She is really dedicated to her craft but in a way that turns students away from theater.

Bea is one of the most caring and in depth professors at this school. Shes the type of person who will sit and talk and be straight up with you so you know how to grow. Dont take her unless you want to actually be an above average student. Love her to pieces. You actually feel like you learned and accomplished something

I learned so much in the class and she is very knowledgeable about her area of expertise but she is also crazy and will go out of her way to tyrannize you if you get on her bad side. Whatever you do don't get on her bad side.

Cool teacher, has gotten cooler over the years.Very smart, you will learn alot of useful material in her class. Shes very helpful; go to her preferably after class because she covers alot of material in class so she doesn't like to delay class with too many questions or personal inquiries..but go to her after class and shes pretty kick arse.

Bea expects A LOT of her students. She covers a great deal of material, some of which is difficult and she wants it done correctly, so if you are off, you won't be penalized, but you will have to redo it. She cares a lot about her students though and is always willing to help. She will learn so much but be pretty burned out by the end.

assigns a new, in-depth project EVERY class. you know everything about technical theatreby the end, but you burned out around midterm. can be very anal about doing the work correctly, and will embarrass you in class if you did anything that didn't meet her standards. seriously needs to work on her interpersonal skills.

I really liked her! She knows what she is talking about and sometimes says really random things, but it is now one of my favorite classes after I was done! Very helpful and learn a lot about the world of theatre!

This is an easy class. Lots of notes to take but she gives SO MUCH extra credit. Tests are mainly from notes. I never opened the book even though some questions from there were on the tests. Have to go see plays & write papers but not too bad. If you do xtra credit...easy A no doubt.

I feel like I learned alot from this class. You take notes like crazy. Most of the tests are from the notes, but there are also questions from the assigned readings on every test. I opened the book maybe twice and got an A for the class. And her wardrobe choice is always entertaining.

Comment:

Very industrious for the theatre department. However, she is a homework fiend, and never distributes 'A's no matter how hard you work. However, Recieved a decent grade at end of class, so perhaps not too bad. Don't take her class unless you have to.
