I've taken several classes with Professor Takooshian and have had wonderful experiences in all of them! He is very knowledgeable and his lectures are always interesting. He really wants students to succeed and do well in his classes, and will offer ways to raise your grade or collect extra points on tests. He is very flexible and accommodating.

I took Prof. Takoosh for my EP 4 law and psychology which was taught with Prof. Emmons . Both have years of experience and are respected in their fields and are passionate about teaching . Professor Takoosh was very organized, easy to contact & planned great events for the class. The workload was well balanced and feedback on was helpful!

This is a teacher who cares about the individual and will do what he can to help you, which is a rare quality. He is aware of a student's busy schedule and takes it into account with his course. Plus, the material is interesting!

Dr. Takooshian gives amazing lectures which facilitated note taking even though the class is on the evening of Fridays. He is very approachable, knowledgable and made this course very fun by inviting outside speakers. You can clearly tell that he wants you to learn the materials and help you succeed in his class if you are willing to put in work.

Take him, love Takoosh. Had him for law & psych with Prof. Emmons, they're a dynamic duo forreal. Workload not too bad, they make it rly easy to get an A plus u learn so much interesting and useful stuff about the criminal justice system

I have taken Dr. Takooshian class several times and I really like him. His very knowledgeable in this field. He is kind and reasonable, ask students' opinions about tests and have optional chance to do research that may increase your grade. If you are interest in pursuing psychology career, he is also a good advisor. Great professor at Fordham.

He doesn't share perspectives other than his own staunch pro-police perspectives. He endorsed chemical castration without recognizing the history of it. He discussed the war on drugs without discussing mass incarceration or ANY remotely negative side effects of the war on drugs. These are 1-2 EX. If you have a social conscious get ready to cringe.

Outstanding professor of psychology! I'll give him a 3.99/4.00 as a teacher: I regret not taking more classes w/ him. Understanding & approachable after class. They say "Stanford is the Harvard of the west": if all teachers were like him, Fordham will be labeled "the Harvard of NYC." Take him & you won't regret him.

The best professor I have ever had in my entire life so far. He is very patient and is willing to help you out with any questions. I personally go to his office hours a lot to ask some questions that are not relevant to his class but about psych anyway, and sometimes he will even borrows me some books if I'm interested in certain topic.

He has sort of a weird sense of humor which can be entertaining at times. The lectures are usually interesting and class discussion is valued. The tests weren't very easy but they weren't out of reach either. Also, he gives plenty of optional opportunities for credit.

Reading is boring, but he is very flexible when it comes to what you want to do for your grade. There is a midterm and final (BASED ON READINGS, and some lecture) and he allows you to do a research paper (which he helps you with) to replace one of the finals.

This is an excellent and great professor, whose lectures are stimulating, witty and interpersonal. He rewards effort and patience, and he cares about his students, the profession, and his overarching duty to impart knowledge and inspiration to his students. Brilliant, kind and funny, Dr. Takooshian is a special professor!
